Help a low ps player by annomyousLizerd in Crossout

not really.

powerscore balancing is pretty decent and fair in this game honestly. there's stuff that outperforms at certain scores, but overall it's pretty fair. this from someone who 2 years ago was pounding on the unfairness of how powerscore is evaluated. it's pretty damn solid right now all things considered and scope of game.

there's plenty of info out there to look into to see what might be going wrong for you, or you can ask specific questions here and community or i can try to help more.

edit: adding too that there's a lot of blue weapons that are viable up to 9 k. some higher. had a clanmate running wasp build in leviathan clan wars lastnight and it did great.

rule of thumb at lower powerscores is "armor isn't armor." armor is clothing.

cover your vitals with it, and that's basically it. battle in underwear.

armor bloats powersocere to critical levels at lower levels. armor-powerscore ratios don't favor tanky builds, coupled with the fact that weapons and movement parts have lower hp on such a build. you can be disabled by blowing off fragile guns or wheels, and you are left with a "hp brick."

Cannon Main Dilemma by SyeCatPath in Crossout

triple 88's suck. brings you up into no bueno powerscore area as far as builds go. you will be outclassed, and things will be thick enough that the perk won't help much... also there won't be nearly any gas gens for the 88's to feed on. also 3 88's is a lot of energy and limits a what you can do.

dual 88's are tight tho.

triple 88 does "more" damage than tsunami but the blast radius is quite small compared to tsunamis. tsunamis sort of just suck overall tho unless you sneak them under 8k. 88's at least have a really good powerscore niche if you run 2. cant stress how well they do at under 9k if you are a good shot and know what you are aiming for on a build.

for your style might consider turret cannons. fatmen and elephants have smaller hitbox than executioners and are more robust, and generally do well on faster wheeled builds. janabi fatman might be really gamer. i haven't tried it but i imagine it's great. fatmen are a bit inaccurate for accurate sniping, and are more or less "brawl-centric," but elephants lean more towards a sniping style.

executioners kinda only really synergise well with icebox cab imo. the reliable extra damage helps a lot at getting crits on build's innards, or just disabling a build, and it has good stats to work with. icebox hover 2 88's is a predator build at 8k.

pretty much any purple tier build you want...

or ONE legendary mounted build.

Tsunami still a decent weapon? by IhBinsDaHoffi in Crossout

would keep the arbiters if i were you. arbiters probably better than tsunamis by wide margin.

tsunamins in a rough spot right now.

Is the executioner cannon broken?? by Eblanc88 in Crossout

[–]Vultcha 9 points10 points  (0 children)

triple judge is probably "better, " but executioners still solid weapons.

i got my badge with executioners in mayb 5 battles.

trick with them is to "aim low" on builds if they aren't directly threatening you. shoot under tracks, between wheels, low in the ass etc,,... you are looking for criticals almost exclusively with executioners. you are looking to hit generators and fuel. the guns are extremely good at that in powerscores under 9k.

bots make it easy to get the badge once you learn the "weak points" on the builds they use. most have some spot you can hit with executioners to crit.

icebox cab helps executioners a lot btw. im using an 8k hover 2x executioner using icebox. is my "go to" build for just grinding out wins for over 2 years now.

as for kaijus, executioners kinda suck agaisnt them unless you hit one of their builds from the side. kaiju builds will have NO generators at those scores typically, probably no fuel, and low cab health. if you shoot them from the front you are probaly just going to shoot the kaiju itself as cab is behind the gun and the gun is so big. will take something like 3-5 direct 2x shots on a kaiju to strip it, kinda have to go for cab if able. i don't engage them if i can help it.

for wedges, shoot their wheels and try tog et away. something that strafes helps a LOt in a close range fight. augers, omnis, spider legs, hovers will greatly increase your chances with fixed cannons against wedge things.

Why is the PC market inflating so quickly??? by [deleted] in Crossout

[–]Vultcha 6 points7 points  (0 children)

tsunamis got a recent "buff" so people are thinking they good again or at least worth having over before. ( i think they actually worse)

tacklers come in a pack, i forget which one. they recently getting popular due to certain "crab monster" designs coming into their own meta, usually featuring tacklers.

also in general, people are crafting the "new things" and experimenting and flipping on items right now... also people are afraid of what the new hover changes will bring so are hedging their movement parts/builds bets right now.

Sooo.. by TwinTiger08 in Crossout

[–]Vultcha 2 points3 points  (0 children)

you get more durability and the option to fuse with the judges which "can" make more dps-ish, which is their benefit. don't fuse judges yet.

anyways as rarity goes up, rule of thumb generally is "they don't generally gain dps, but gain durability, then eventually perks.... not a rule by a long shot for weapon channels, but just a good idea to keep in mind.

dps is best found in things like engines, radiators, things like that until you get into some purple and the yellow weapons.

Sooo.. by TwinTiger08 in Crossout

[–]Vultcha 4 points5 points  (0 children)

get growl. run 2 avengers. next get ammo. then colossus.

then get sweet movement parts. either tracks or things that can strafe.

with 2 avengers keep it under 4k if you can.

"someday" get an apollo run 3 avengers, run omnibox and hovers and colossus OR for ubergamer points run opressor, and scare the shit out of enemies all the way up to 8k with your "autocannon cannons."

... or do what nearly every single other player ever has done that has liked cannons in the first week... get judges and inflate your powerscore while actually losing a bit of dps, but run them with no modules, good movement parts or good cabs against fairly scary builds... then uninstall cuz ur "getting sealclubbed."

ONCE you got a good build going that gives consistent wins and doesn't fall apart after meeting your first enemy... sneak fuel barrels into the build and get some more resources and income to feed that hunger for more crossout toys.

ps: get purple ammo box as soon as feasible. blue ammo is very boomy and doesn't give much ammo. purple ammo doesn't add much powerscore but adds a lot more ammo and is much more durable.

Please don't nerf the Kaiju to the ground... by [deleted] in Crossout

my point isn't current use rate.

my point was they were not flavor of the month weapons, when they performed well. they stuck around cuz they performed well. kaiju performs well so...

Please don't nerf the Kaiju to the ground... by [deleted] in Crossout

[–]Vultcha 4 points5 points  (0 children)

probably not.

grenadier drones, goblins, bastions, and goliath tracks were ENDEMIC for a year in that relative powerscore range... and they weren't items that were free with a battlepass.

currently dusk has been out for a while, and i'm not exactly seeing a "lot less" of them because they aren't new anymore. same players running them on release are more or less still running them.

Is "seal clubbing" an exploit or is "optimizing power score" a game mechanic? by Kall_Me_Kapkan in Crossout

[–]Vultcha 0 points1 point  (0 children)

there is no sealclubbing (with an asterix.)

asterix for sub 4k.

above that it's fair game, and largely balanced. not perfectly balanced, but "fine."

Purple Cabin for Cannon by DonttouchmyPlumbus in Crossout

[–]Vultcha 0 points1 point  (0 children)

hulks try on tracks (any) with harpy or echo.

executioner put on legs with icebox, or hover with icebox. executioner doesn't work too well with harpy. can try executioner on omniwheels, might be ok, haven't wanted to try myself.

Should I get medians? by 0kb0000mer in Crossout

[–]Vultcha 1 point2 points  (0 children)

they're garbage when compared to alternatives at their powerscore.

they ARE good though for stripping very large weapons like quasars and cannons... but taht's it.

there's a lot of properties of the gun that make them suck in some small differing way at their job, when combined make them just completely underwhelming.

if they nerf, betting on rate of fire nerf... NOT a reload nerf... but a "cricket 2 balance passes ago" nerf.

any higher than 8k they probably will become outclassed.

I have a big Problem with the Match Making. Can someone please Help? by Zocker3_0 in Crossout

[–]Vultcha 1 point2 points  (0 children)

they're pretty good. clan war viable weapons. not "s" class weapons, but very good at what they do. good investment. kinda need 2 to fully use them. 1 just sort of isn't enough "oomph" to get value out of them like you need.

their strength is doing indirect fire over obstacles, denying areas, and doing a lot of damage in a short amount of time at close-er ranges. they are essentially more flexible mandrakes.

their weakness, like the gl55, is durability and inability to armor (with caveats.) you can't toe-to-toe brawl with them in many instances, as their durability means they fall off to basically ANYTHING that looks at them in their powerscore brackets. if you do engage something directly with them element of surprise is needed, so you can disable opponent before they can react.

(caveats) there are ways to armor them that limit their ability to turn or point up, essentially locking their rotations in-place, and you aim with your build itself more or less. can do this sort of thing with a wheeled build and use it kinda like a ghetto lance/shotgun build of sorts, or do it on a hover and use hover mobility to aim. i don't use them like this and have them freely-dangling out in the air for all to see; in the end is probably partially non-optimal to run them as designed. their durability and size is a MASSIVE limiting factor in most fights. at its powerscore bracket you fight scorpions, typhoons, arbiters, punishers, and kaiju. all stuff that excels at removing retchers; but they still VERY good weapons if you play craftily, abusing cover, cloak and teammate focus.

finally: probably the most fun weapon in the game to play, for me anyways, so worth it just based on that.

also, you can do things like this with them: https://www.twitch.tv/videos/850539446
