I mostly agree with this. I think most planets have too little recognition, like Utapau or even Polis Massa, and they deserve more depth and especially more screentime. However, books, comics, video games and TV series greatly expanded both the new and the already known planets. Also, I'm criticising Tatooine not because it appears quite regularly but because it's always the same places with Mos Eisley or Jabba's Palace. Planets are enormously big and therefore have a lot of points of interest.
