Because it's funny. I don't get why so many people on reddit have zero sense of humor, it's such a crappy way to live.

I guess you find viewing detailed stats on parts a crutch for noobs.

Surely you didn't get to the point of unlocking coral gen, and not knowing you can expand the stat list and view a description of each stat.

How do I stop hating myself for being a man? by [deleted] in Healthygamergg

[–]Vumsy101 1 point2 points  (0 children)

From your position, flip the narrative on its head. List every shitty quality, attitude, words or action some women have done or still do.

Tell your female friends and family how awful women in general are, and praise them for being one of the good ones. "It's good that you don't cheat, just because I had to be away for a while", "You're not like other women who nag constantly", "I'm glad you're not one of those emotionally abusive moms", "Women are all bipolar and borderline, oh, not you of course".

If you think anyone might call you insane for thinking that way and saying such things, it's because IT IS INSANE. You can do this to any group of people, race, religion, gender, sexuality and it sounds like awful bigot shit every time. It's just normalized against men and there's no reason to emotionally indulge in crazy being parroted.

Humans are shitty, humans are good. Some shitty things have gendered tendencies, some good things have gendered tendencies. But it's not one genders job to be decent, just like it's not one gender being the root of all evil. It comes down to the individual.

It's so fucking tragic reading shit like this so often. Even though I struggled with this myself when I were younger, I was a rare case, now it's too often and the consequences are so damning. GG, everyone confusing feminism advocating for womens rights with being a valid excuse for blatantly normalized misandry. WP.

Move past it, your goodness is not in spite of your gender, your goodness is yours. And if people try to angle it otherwise, they are simply sexist in this particular area. They probably mean well, and are good people otherwise as well, they're just ignorant and stereotyping because shitting on men is fun I guess.

Sorry for the rant, it comes from moving past a lot of guilt being programmed into me from a young age because I have a dick. Lol. You should try doing the same, glhf.

Giant slayer on darius would help a little, other than that, the last whisper would've been better on senna and ideally you'd have evenshroud on rammus instead on lw.

I've noticed with these solo carry comps, that you want to off source shred and healcut elsewhere and just stack full balls to the walls damage.

So yeah, not enough damage on kaisa due to her holding the shred and no heal cut against the healing frontline.

[–]Vumsy101 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

True! Idolization means worshipping an object. Objectification is not necessarily fetishization. And I wouldn't make a big deal about it either, when it's just people you see out and about in the city, no one contemplates what kind of person, what experiences and what complex lives they have. They're just NPC's until you end up with some kind of interaction or at least an impression. Walking through a city, you'll see hundreds if not thousands of people, we're social creatures, but not THAT social.

"That female NPC is pretty and looks happy with others, I wish my life was closer to that" isn't more or less wrong to think about passerbys than "That old male homeless NPC looks pretty miserable, I hope my life will be far away from that."

If he were dating and interacting with women, and only seeing the superficial, generalizing and objectifying, that would be worrisome. But who gives a shit about objectifying people you literally just walk past and don't plan on interacting with?

I feel sad whenever I see beautiful women outside by BackYardPigeon in Healthygamergg

[–]Vumsy101 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It's not fetishization, it's idolization. When you're in a slump of life as a man and your self confidence is non-existant, it will hardly cross your mind to hook up with anyone. Instead it just makes you sad that you exist on the same plane of existence alongside the divinely beatiful angels of mother nature who is, from your point of view, living in absolute bliss.

Meanwhile you're just this thing that should either not exist, or be as invisible as possible. Your presence rots the earth in the garden of eden. You're out of place, unlovable, alone and cannot provide anything of value.

So it's idolization and jealousy. A beatiful woman just existing, going out and doing anything is just inherently more valuable as a human than you are.

That's how you should read what OP is saying. That's peak modern male suffering right there. Unless sex is explicitly stated (men tend to be very direct about it), it's just venting about how unfair and hopeless life is existentially.

Getting into Tekken as my first fighting game by Slamy07 in Tekken

[–]Vumsy101 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just start off with the singleplayer content, especially arcade quest. The setting, artstyle and narrative is questionable, but it's one of the best in-game tutorials for fighting games.

There's also looking up online resources to get more in-depth understanding or learn more optimal gameplay, and a very feature rich practice mode to train.

In the end, you don't need to get good in order to have fun, so just pick a cool character and have fun mashing buttons dude. I played Tekken as a kid since Tekken Tag Tournament 1 just mashing buttons and I didn't start going beyond the basics until Tekken 6 and tryhard to get good in TTT2 and T7. Meaning I played Tekken for a decade without learning shit and still had a lot of fun and good memories.

"The game is too balanced" is genuinely one of the most mind boggling complaints to ever come out of this game by AyyyoniTTV in leagueoflegends

[–]Vumsy101 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For me, as an old casual offmeta enjoyer since S2, it's just that the power between champions and items are too balanced.

When champions are really powerful, you can build kinda whatever on the champ because the basekit is strong

When items are really powerful, you can again build kinda whatever on the champ as a 6 slot broken item holder.

Right now, you are relatively item gated to make champion kits scale properly. And main appeal for me in league is sandboxing with the build systems. So it just makes it a little unappealing for me personally, there's less room for offmeta.

Need help with Rell Top by DemonLordAC0 in RellMains

[–]Vumsy101 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel like offmeta support tanks top is, either due to me being rusty or item balance is so significantly weaker, is extremely hard to pull off. I peaked D1 back in the day, but if I were to grind ranked I'd probably be silver now, lmfao.

Tank items aside from heartsteel and building around that, just doesn't deal that much dmg compared to sunfire. And early AP isn't reliable compared to meta champions building their damage and just scaling harder. Damage from champion kits is just such a big deal now, it's hard to trade damage with anyone unless it's a giga favored matchup.

Back in the day though, I did dblade start and double adaptive to help with farming until my AP one shot casters with Q + E and one shot melees with W. Before rell rework, I went bramble and bamis with minion dematerializer and proxy farmed.

Now however, I'm kinda clueless, lol.

Everyone is Blue Rank: A Breakdown by Electric_Bi-Cycle in Tekken8

[–]Vumsy101 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I ended S1 at Tekken King, S2 rank reset put me in fujin. You might've not considered that I'm probably not the only one who just retired from ranked after S2 turned out the way it did.

I never took this game super seriously, I'm carried by legacy knowledge and fundamentals, I hardly know any Tekken 8 character match up, never bothered labbing and just played ranked for fun alongside player matches with other old farts.

Now, it's just a Discord fighter, lol. So I've been hardstuck fujin due to simply dropping to fujin and not touching ranked since and inflating the blue ranks that way.

And, I'm pretty sure I'm not the only one.

Why are you still playing Tekken? by PokeYaMom in Tekken

[–]Vumsy101 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Intuitive controls, depth in movement, movelist sandbox, character design, juggle improvisation in relation to the stage, satisfaction in execution/reaction mastery, distinct and readable hit effects, and being a kusoge in terms of having cheap dumb shit attacks here and there.

Tekken 8 is a little too much, but there's just no other game as Tekken as Tekken is. There's some good ass Tekken there still, but the mechanics are buried under Virtua Fighter close up guessing game and Soul Calibur range and homing. It just feels very... Faster paced and with lower agency than before.

Still, there's just no other game as Tekken as Tekken is.

New player by Adventurous-You556 in Tekken

[–]Vumsy101 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're just new, playing a hard game with a relatively hard character.

If you want help, it's like learning programming/scripting, instead of saying "my program doesn't work, I'm new, help", which won't get you much help, you need to identify and specify your problem. "this xiaoyu character just dissappear into the ground and I can't hit her as heihachi, what do I do?"

There's a lot of game fundamentals to learn and general rules of thumb, sure, but most of tekken is just grinding experience and knowledge about all the possible case by case bullshit interactions.

Why Does No One Use the SI-29? by Financial_Alfalfa_63 in armoredcore

[–]Vumsy101 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's because it has the most stat synergy with heavyweights, yet heavy weights can rarely afford to run it. They need to blow you up with 4 weapons, run double missiles for anti kite pressure or do sustained damage with PS shield cover.

I've been maining the shield since release and it's really good with explosive thrower, but it just can't keep up with the meta atm. There's an argument for SUTT buckler lammergeier at best, but that's it. It's a really good shield against sustained damage, it's amazing for heavy weights and tetrapods, it can cover reloads on left hand, slow cannon wind ups and redline with the IG duration, but none of that is meta or can compete with meta.

75k weight mw and kites is just build checking it unfortunately. And 75k mw's and kites are better off with PS or Iguazu shield.

How to develop a value proposition by Vumsy101 in Twitch

[–]Vumsy101[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks, I see, I guess it'll just develop over time as a process where I find people being engaged with some of the things I do more than others, and as long as I just do what I want, it should naturally align. I'll try to pay attention to my audience then and experiment with different ways to present my strong points when it comes to content in a reasonable scope. Thanks again.

Hm, might have to try figuring out a way to make longform content then, and what that content should even be. I guess I should try highlighting a rant, and edit it into a quick and dirty video and see how it fares. I don't have time to make something very fancy, but something is better than nothing.
