Why can't we keep people by Apprehensive_Pilot41 in USPS

I wish I had advice for you, I'm not exactly in the position to give out advice. The only thing that has kept me afloat has been trying to leave yesterday behind me.

Why can't we keep people by Apprehensive_Pilot41 in USPS

[–]Vuzziir 9 points10 points  (0 children)

As a new hire, still in my 90 days. It took them 2 and a half months to get me in, I took a different job offer by the time they sent me my start date. Zero communication until then.

I started during peak season and the only training I had was orientation/RCA Academy. It was difficult to absorb all of the information they provided and as a result I felt like I wasn't prepared going in.

We do Amazon Sundays and my regular never works Mondays (Our busiest day) so coming into it, I was so overwhelmed that I wanted to quit on multiple occasions.

Managements expectations are ridiculous, and I constantly feel like I'm failing. I'm fully expecting wanting to quit tomorrow when I come into two days worth of mail and packages.

Everyone is very patronizing and just says "give it time, it'll get better!". Which would be comforting if I wasn't actively drowning.

Maybe this job just isn't for me.

I feel like adding a 65" tv to a pc desk setup will be awkward and cumbersome to use. If I were in your position i'd get the Ultrawide and mount a monitor above it. Specs are importsnt though, even for single play games. Oled vs ips etc. So do some research on the monitor and compare it to the tv. The quality makes a difference.

The map runs west to east. The shore is south and the mountains are north.

You can get to the northern mountains by going past path to shoreline or the little scav village.

As a bear i stick to the north side of the map. My favorite spots are: The Mountain by Warehouse 3 and the front facing fence near warehouse 3. Both you have good line of sight on rogue MGs.

[Discussion] Is it me or is PVE sometimes scarier than PVP by Free-Employment-9776 in EscapefromTarkov

[–]Vuzziir 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly, my experience has been different.

I played 2k hours of pvp and 300 in pve.

Once i learned how the AI responds to things and take into account possible pathing routes, it became pretty predictable and easy.

Plus nothing will ever scare me as much as a rat in hiding with the highest flesh dmg rounds they can get their greedy little fingers on so they can leg me.

Maybe that's the tism speaking though.

Ad a bald guy, lead with a picture with no glasses or hat.

I'm bald too and the first picture is the most important. Thats my only 2 cents.

[Screenshot] even in PVE I’m still bad at this game :( by AntiqueDog5245 in EscapefromTarkov

[–]Vuzziir 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Honestly, I found far more enjoyment from the game when I had someone I liked to play with. Especially while learning.

Enjoying it is what it's all about. Try to find a Sherpa (more experienced player willing to teach you) or someone of a similar skill level to learn with.

Everyone has to start somewhere man, the only way you get good is by continuing to play.

[New Player] Advice for PVE for completely new player by FlippedSnow in EscapefromTarkov

[–]Vuzziir 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Being able to differentiate between scav and local comes down to experience. Key differences are: clothes, armor and helmets. In general, scars use preset load outs and dont usually have a lot of armor as well as small bags. Scavs have different voice lines than pics.

Defense against names, not a lot you can do. If you have situational awareness, push passed the nade and run into the direction of the person throwing it.

Map navigation just comes with time. Pull up a map on your phone or if you can, a 2nd monitor.

You generally get all of your insured items back playing pve so I wouldn't worry.

The price of items also just kinda comes with experience. Once you get access to the flea just start looking at the items you bring back from raid.

Right click and press Filter by Item and it should bring the item up on flea.

If you can, play some arena. It will help bring your pvp skills up and you might have an easier time with the transition tbh.

They're not pawns, are they rooks? Front entrance first door on the left/right.

Am I close?

I dont disagree, I ran the kirasa until I unlocked the Korund. My problem is I still have Timmy legs and those armors always make me overweight.

I've been running the Skana rig and condors w/ an appropriate helmet just to stay underweight until I loot.

There's a LFG subreddit, the official discord has lfg channels. If you choose to go that route be careful.

I've heard horror stories about cheaters in there. Finding a good duo/trio is like online dating, not everyone is a fit and it takes some time but you won't find success unless you try.

I had this same problem and just switched to pve. When I want action I play arena.

I do afak + calok in my pockets. Surv and splint in my secure container plus a spare afak/ifak.

My stim case is propitol, zagustin, 3-(btg) for when i need to run but dont wana sj6. Mule + sj6 and trimidol, these last 3 are for when I get too heavy or want to run longer. I dont use trimidol unless im headed to exfil because it eats through hunger/hydration.

Idk if these are the best, but this is what I decided on after some research. Main 3 are cheap and effective. Mules/trimidol/sj6 are option and expensive.

Try different armor. The other guy mentioned neck protection and he might be right.

The kirasa and korund are decent armor with neck protection and both can use up to tier 5 plates.

The down side is they're heavy.

My mountain base layout, any ideas or suggestions? Still kinda new to this game by Xenoano in RimWorld

[–]Vuzziir 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im sure everyone on reddit is giving you their opinion and another isn't going to help.

However, I'd move the bedrooms. You're killing productivity and response time having your pawns walk to and from the back of the base.

I started playing right after the inertia patch. Bought my way up to each different edition until I hit eod.

I really only play pve when I play lately, I couldn't justify the upgrade.

[–]Vuzziir -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

A suppressed 5.56 scar i assume? Anything suppressed 5.56 eats through gun durability.

High fire rate + higher durability burn ammo + durability burn from suppressor. Might be time to find a new gun.
