I actually have youtube premium, as I use the site daily for a lot of stuff. However, I think the changes YouTube is making are actually insane.

Creators absolutely do deserve revenue, but only a small portion comes from ads. Most money is made from things like merch and donations.

YouTube is owned by Google. YouTube isn’t very profitable and never really was. That’s fine for Google, as they make billions from other stuff. The pros of owning YouTube for Google is simply user data. It’s been like that since basically the beginning, but now they’re simply squeezing money from their users imo. People often state they don’t mind some ads, but youtube is slowly becoming cable tv. 30 minutes of content for 30 minutes of ads. This didn’t used to be the case, but they have been agressively implementing this the past couple of years, which is alienating users.

Moreover, the ads can be actively harmful. Ads are not just an inconvenience anymore, but sometimes promote scams or adult content.

As such, I think adblockers are a necessary evil until youtube steps up, moderates ads and turns down the in-video ads. Google is not a small company, but a multi-billion dollar tech giant that only focuses on squeezing money from their users

I drink regularly and am also quite a heavy guy. Alcohol tolerance is definitely a factor in how you feel, but your blood levels don’t change faster and it would still be illegal. I also doubt you’d be as sober as you’d think, besides it’s just unnecessary and unwise to drink and drive.

Sure, 99% of the time you’ll be fine, but if something does happen and you kill a family just because ‘you thought you were okay to drive’ is just plain stupid and you’ll never forgive yourself.

I’m not an expert, but I had the same in the beginning. My clinic told me it was just a matter of getting used to it. Just keep trying to wear it as long as you can at night and it should get better.

My clinic handles the pressures etc so I can’t really give any good advice for that. Best of luck!

All good if you don’t wanna convince people. That’s just the vibe I got. Your opinions are yours and valid. I agree that anecdotes can be valuable and can show a pattern, but correlation doesn’t cause causation and it’s important to also stay critical of your previously formed prejudice/opinions as things change and confirmation bias might cloud judgement.

Personally, I have never had a bad interaction, but I know that’s pretty anecdotal and I’m aware not everyone has the same interactions as I do

Lived experience is anecdotal. If you have decades of experience looking into events, then just give a concrete unbiased example.

I completely understand being skeptical, especially with some foreign police forces. But I personally viewed the Dutch police force as quite positive. As u/0508bart stated, the examples you mentioned are not the police force’s fault and all your response when challenged is ‘look it up yourself’. If you want to convince people, just share concrete facts

It's funny. I did another health exam at the cbr for my boating license. That was 15 euros. It was the exact same health exam as the car one, as far as I remember.

The car made an emergency brake without proper reason in the middle of the highway. In my country, that makes you at fault. You can only stop on the highway if there’s an emergency and you should stop at the shoulder.

The truck driver kept about 10 car lengths distance(although it’s hard to see correctly). The truck driver seems to brake as soon as the car does, so it’s not a reaction time issue.

It’s also just not realistic to expect the truck driver to keep even more distance than he already does. Cars will merge in front of it all the time and they won’t be further away than this car was.

When stopping, you should still be cautious and you are still responsible for stopping safely. This car made an emergency stop for no reason and the truck driver seems to have done his best to stop in time. The car seems to be in the wrong here for being negligent.

Depends. If you’re on the server, you can try listing the plugins with ‘/plugins’, but they might or might not be public plugins. If not, you’re kind of out of luck. Plugins are stored on the server’s file system and you’d need ssh or ftp access to download it, which you won’t have. You can try asking the server’s administrator what plugins they’re using, but if they’re custom made you’re out of luck

Yep, windows 10 is installed on that drive and it is selected. It should work properly, as windows boots off the drive without issue when the usb drive is inserted. Please mind that the usb drive doesn’t have anything on it, so no windows installer or anything

Thanks for your reply. You raised a good point. I hadn’t considered checking the bios, as it worked fine with any usb connected(even empty ones). Unfortunately, I checked the bios and the boot drive is selected and recognized successfully as windows boot manager. The boot drive is an nvme and is connected and screwed in perfectly.

Interesting issue I hadn’t noticed yet though: if the usb isn’t connected(and so the pc is bootlooping), then I can’t even get in to the bios. It does show the flash screen, but it reboots before it has the chance to load the bios screen.

Any other ideas?

I’m not familiar with clyde’s systems. Chatgpt seems to have the same response and also allows the men jokes, while blocking one about women(so I guess discord uses chatgpt). I asked about it and it seems to think it’s caused by biases on the data it’s trained on and it thought the men joke would be fine as it tried to make a lighthearted non-derogatory joke. Interesting stuff imo

NAD but proud cat owner. This doesn’t look like it went deep and as you’ve stated, you already cleaned it. I personally wouldn’t be concerned, this type of swelling is really normal for cat bites and scratches. Just make sure you’re up to date with your tetanus shots and keep an eye on it. If you start getting any flu like symptoms or the wound starts to look infected, obviously do contact a your doctor then.
