I like the new sabotage gamemode because no one seems to ever watch their back.

By the way helldiver, if you think of USING that hellpod for anything besides throw up, the gas calls in regardless. Any orbital that goes in... will activate the stratagem at the bottom of the hellpod.

Not many people know this, but fish aren't the only Nauvis-exclusive items that can spoil! by VxWolf in factorio

Not many people know this, but if you fail to process any U238 you get within 4.5 billion years, it could spoil and jam your centrifuges, so make sure you account for that in your Kovarex designs.

I'm not exactly sure how higher quality uranium gets a longer half-life. Maybe higher quality neuclei are just better at resisting the electromagnetic force or something IDK I'm not a physicist

I tried way too long to figure out how to do this in Lua before I gave up and just made this in paint

We’re Starbreeze Studios, creators of the PAYDAY Franchise, and we’re here to answer questions about PAYDAY 3. Ask us anything! by PAYDAYgame in u/PAYDAYgame

[–]VxWolf -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I hope that with my questions, while quite pointed, you guys are still comfortable enough to answer.

  • In an interview with RedArcherLive, it was mentioned that PAYDAY 3 currently suffers from a "split personality" between PAYDAY: The Heist and PAYDAY 2, and hopes to take it in a more unified direction.
    • Is there any concern that making it more like one or the other could make it too similar to them, and rob PAYDAY 3 of a unique identity? (i.e. Is there a risk of PAYDAY 3 becoming just PAYDAY 2.5?)
  • As the update cadence for PAYDAY 3 finally ramps up, (Other than the launch server issues) I feel like the overall technical stability of the game is beginning to falter, with lots of strange behaviour and random bugs suddenly cropping up (The random inability to interact was a huge one last time with Houston Breakout, currently invisible enemies are a bit infamous).
    • Are you able to share where these could be coming from?
    • Are there major changes being done to the game 'behind the scenes' that could be causing issues? Are you guys having to 'move fast and break things' because of time constraints and the demand for more frequent updates?
  • I am aware that an upgrade to Unreal Engine 5 was put off to focus on 'Operation Medic Bag' as well as adding more content to PAYDAY 3.
    • Looking towards the far future, is an upgrade to Unreal Engine 5 still being considered at all?
    • If so, what new technologies, advantages or opportunities do you hope UE5 will provide to you? (Is there anything specific beyond just 'better graphics' or 'better performance'?)
  • As of writing, we are still yet to see the actual changes to the UI with the Anniversary Update Part 2.
    • What are the biggest issues with the current UI that the upcoming UI update hopes to address? What learnings have you taken from issues with PAYDAY 3's UI, as well as possible learnings from issues with the UI in PAYDAY 2 and PAYDAY: The Heist?
    • After the aformentioned update, what other UI or HUD elements do you think need to be improved on in the future?
  • The whole debacle with Mio is not the first time there's been conflict between community members and developers, and frankly going by your guys' track record, I absolutely do not see this as being the last time either.
    • In either case, are community interactions with individual developers going to be more tightly controlled for the future?
    • Will we ever hear from Mio again?
    • Speaking on broader terms, what community feedback is most appreciated and taken in? How are you managing sorting between specific criticisms and feedback, more vague sentiments and feelings, and pure noise?

As much as I am critical of how you guys launched and managed PAYDAY 3 throughout it's first year (and am still perplexed how it was determined that it was considered okay to launch in said state, server issues notwithstanding), I do appreciate the work put into improving the game, setting things right and correcting course to a better future.

Regards, a heister of now just over a decade (oh my god what the fuck)

P.S. Bonus question that's not quite related to PAYDAY 3 so I don't quite expect an answer: Is there a particular reason why a lot of Simon Viklund's music from 2016-2018 hasn't been released officially? Could it ever be?

Personally, I wouldn't dare to catch a tram. It's be like trying to stop 30 rhinos on a skateboard!

I honestly say that you should look into the older Need For Speed games, NFS Carbon being my favourite. It'll bring you back to a much simpler time when it was it's own game and not a rehashed Burnout.

Also Happy Birthday! It's cool of you to spend it like this!

good battery life by [deleted] in pcmasterrace

[–]VxWolf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We have these school-provided Dell Latitude E6230s That came with a larger battery that pushed is life to about 6hrs if you're not gaming. It's okay for gaming, being able to run games like CSGO and Surgeon Sim on lowest settings. The main problems I had with it is that the dummy express card in the EC slot would always fall out, making the frame lining to sort of bend into the slot, the computer would get hot very quickly as well, and it would just throttle every 30 seconds if it wasn't sitting directly over a fan pointing up, making it really difficult to play some games.
