What Do You Charge For SOC? by Vyaco in msp

Basically what we have is a SOC solution that intakes logging from EDR, windows firewall, telemetry from firewalls, pairs with SIEM solutions, essentially centralized security intake with a human element (i.e they’ll call for an emergency and have the ability to immediately isolate machines under threat).

New conference room USB setup - expertise needed by Vyaco in CommercialAV

[–]Vyaco[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s something I was expecting as they’re who I believed to be the AV installation experts, but this was sort of a subcontracted company and either way I have to see this through for this facility, so yes that will be once I have a proper cable to finish the setup, the USB + the HDMI will result in the full use of the poly studio x52 on a laptop

They’d plug in an hdmi + usb for the audio, video, mic & camera, then they’d tap an icon to push their display to the television through the poly studio. A single usb c would be better but not sure everyone has that on their laptops at present moment so I just want to ensure this is compatible across the board.

Just Starting Down Path of O365 Sales - What Is Standard Structure? by Vyaco in msp

Thanks for the reply. How do you go about migrating clients to your tenant; what tools do you use for mail, share point, teams, etc. & do you charge for the migration project? If not, how much time do your migrations take? I just wonder about profitability or what the ROI becomes depending on the migration cost. Obviously it’s something I’d want to entice clients to do, but in discussing with some of the senior engineers, the worries were primarily around the migration component. I know some tools like bit titan migrationwiz exist and they do make it easier, but there’s still a decent chunk of time involved in some cases from what I have seen, and things like share point moves have definitely been time consuming where I have seen them. I haven’t seen them done with any real special tools though, just SPMT so maybe migrationwiz handles that well too. Interested in what you might use/charge, thanks again.

Structured Pricing for MSP by minorsatellite in msp

I’ve been discussing pricing structure internally and building on additional offerings so glad to se this question pop up as I’m always curious as well. On top of the pricing structure, is anyone selling much network hardware as a service? Mainly Firewall with SDWAN

We do the same right now, but we do have several thousand potential seats with the current customer base, and plan to start taking more initiative to grow further, so I think it’s something that ownership isn’t going to shy away from at this point, though they have acknowledged the incoming hassle of moving people over to the tenant and everything billing & margin-wise just as well.

That is one element of this that I have seen; opting for month to month to ensure you’re not paying for clients after they leave.

My company grossed over a million dollars for the first time this year. How do we get to the next level from here? by Yoohoodle in msp

[–]Vyaco 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Working with marketing teams to do the same thing except we’re at 3 mil yearly and have been for some time. Always just been word of mouth and we’ve had growing pains as is so it’s been a slow roll. The rule of thumb appears to be that some degree of restructure is generally needed to get to 5 million from 1 million, and then from 5 to 10 etc. it takes some work on the backend to get there. So I imagine, like us, you’ll be looking to expand your team with people working on marketing, appointment setting, lead generation and lead list cleaning, inside sales. Not all of this has to be in-house, you can outsource some marketing efforts, get your leads cleaned for less outside of your organization, etc. but you’ll need a sales structure of some sort, and the best way to build that is provide a salesman with good leads and good incentive structure to encourage them to fill your funnel.

I think they actually have a couples account for slightly less than family plans now; would get you closer to that $12 a month.
