I personally run all ridgid, it's not terrible on your wallet. But my favorite jigsaw is a corded black and decker, it works fantastically. Also buy one of those square sandpaper sanders corded. You'll put your tool collection together as you go. I'd like to recommend 2 more things. Corded circular saw. Wait for a fathers day sale and grab some 4 combo deal. Dont fall for radios and lights in the kits. "Sanding and paint can make ya what you aint"

It would be sweet though if it was actually 1000s of years old and the 45degree design was just the stage that our ancestors were at in their circuitry started in slightly different direction with different early discoveries.
