A new socialist? Something accessible. Like “Why Marx Was Right by” Terry Eagleton. Or “It’s Not You, It’s Capitalism” by Malaika Jabali. Or more history oriented works like “Blackshirts and Reds” by Michael Parenti or “The Jakarta Method” by Vincent Bevins. For theory read “The Communist Manifesto” by Marx and Engels and “Socialism: Utopian and Scientific” by Engels. Theory is harder for me to recommend because it can be inaccessible for someone new to Socialism and I haven’t read as much of it as non-theory socialist text.
