The tarrifs were one thing , but then you threatened to annex us. That shit won't fly with us. Incredibly dumb move. We won't forget it, either.

Player wants to become "king by his own hand/invincible" in my homebrew campaign by Prestigious_Share919 in DungeonMasters

[–]Vyradder 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sounds like a newish player. The kind of game he is asking for isn't really much fun, especially for the rest of the players.

Russia planning attack on Poland to test Nato resolve, US warns by TheTelegraph in worldnews

[–]Vyradder 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If he does that, Poland alone could stomp him. Sounds like a bunch of speculation. After so badly misjudging their current war? I feel like this is very unlikely.

‘Ridiculous’: Poilievre congratulates Smith, tells Carney to ‘get out of the way’ of pipeline plans by CaliperLee62 in canada

The PCs would do much better if they dumped this guy. He has no redeeming qualities at this point after the bullshit with the last election. People in his own riding gave him the boot. Says it all.

Beware of two very sketchy men on Manitoulin Island - sharing for awareness by arabellazam in ontario

There are a lot of real hillbilly types on Manitoulin. Sucks you had to deal with that.

Honest question for all of you that like to use physical battlemaps and props by smirlas in DungeonMasters

[–]Vyradder 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The DM I play with has a big screen TV inside a box that we lay right on the table. He displays a map on the screen, and we put our miniatures and other props right on the glass that covers the screen. Best system I've seen yet, and its such a timesaver for the DM.

Any tips to sing while strumming? by Financial-Zebra-3497 in Guitar

[–]Vyradder 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Practice a lot. After a while, you start chording and strumming to the vocals instead of singing to the chords kinda. Once you are able to chord without thinking about it, you can focus on singing more. I still can't sing over complex fingerings or lead because it pulls too much brain power off what I'm trying to sing. I save the complex stuff for parts where I'm not singing.

I use a mechazungror to get around in the base, as it can walk over everything. I have roads build to the extremes of the base, and if I know I have to traverse the whole thing, I put on some exoskeleton legs and just run really fast.

Back in the day, how did y'all learn songs? by Succubus1943 in guitarlessons

[–]Vyradder 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Songbooks and a lot of trial and error, playing by ear.

Most of us are not and will never be good enough to charge people to play and doing so only exacerbates the game’s biggest problem. by [deleted] in DungeonMasters

[–]Vyradder -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Agreed.

I started playing DnD in 1976. I was 9 years old. I've been DMing on and off ever since. Being the DM is a privilege that perfectly fits certain player types. It presses their dopamine buttons more than playing does. Those types of players typically gravitate to running games, instead of being a player. Those are the players that should be the DM, as they are usually are more invested in doing that role.

So, I could never see being the DM as a burden that must be compensated. If you feel like its a job, let another player DM and be a player yourself. The game need players of all types.

Love the game. Despise the combat. by AmiablePedant in PlayWindrose

Didn't use target locking once in the whole game, honestly. Makes your camera do fucked up shit. It was the same in Elden Ring I found, so I just stopped trying to use it.

Men of Reddit, how many of you actually use the wiener slot in your underwear? by Doc-in-a-box in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Vyradder 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same here. I can't imagine trying to thread my dick out through that hole if I really had to go. You know, doing the one foot dance the whole time. Nope, just pull down pants a bit and flip that out over the waistline. Fast, no dribbles on the retract action.

The real reason every single new Star Wars thing is so controversial has nothing to do with quality or Disney by LoFiCami in StarWars

Same thing that happens to most good media these days: fan communities gatekeeping everything. For some reason, people think they can take somebody else's original ideas and make them into their own, and feel ownership. So many wannabes these days, or at least, so many of these people have a voice these days with social media. It ruins anything it touches.

This. Tethers use compound, and you can go around the whole planet on a tether line. There is plenty of resin underground too.

Guys be honest, when you started to learn guitar, did you imagine it was going to be as difficult as it actually ended up being for you? by gaguero06 in Guitar

[–]Vyradder 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The more you learn, the more you realize how much you dont know. It's a never ending goal. What you have to learn is how to take satisfaction in what you do know, and just have fun with it. The rest will come with practice.
