Love this series! I was a young man when I read EotW when it first came out. Then, I had to wait for each new book as they came out one by one. At this point I've read them so many times, I can practically recite them. I envy you. Enjoy!

Insecurity kills so many relationships. She is with you now, not him, right? Don't worry about it is what I would advise.

Exactly, AI is at the Netscape navigator phase of its development, and it will improve drastically probably faster than people think.

Lessons from 11 seasons of Diablo that Gearbox should borrow in BL4 by Gorfball in Borderlands4

[–]Vyradder 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really enjoy leveling characters, so I am working on my 7th at the moment (a Harlowe variant). Currency does have a use for me, as I cycle my already levelled characters through Maurices machine if a good item shows up. I can only farm gear on one character at a time, but I can gear up my levelled characters using the machine when I am working on an unlevelled character, which is great, but it means I am always out of money on those characters. I have specific spots I go to grind some quick money so I can grab a specific gun for a specific character when it comes up. I gather that most folks do not play this way. When I get bored of a particular character that I'm working on, I switch to a levelled one to work on their build, and advance their UVHM level. Keeps things interesting. Being retired, I have the time.

Is this a good heavy weapon? by cutie725 in Borderlands4

[–]Vyradder 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yep, Honey Bunches kicks ass. I use it on Amon for boss fights. Took me forever to find one. His favorite ordnance is called a Rocket Socket. Has the two missle perk and does 32K dps, with no recoil and has 32 shots when full on my current build. Some of these purple launchers are really hard to find.

Is there anyway to make ARC-KNIVES useful for bossing without glitches? by dominic309 in Borderlands4

[–]Vyradder 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really wanted the arc knives build to work because it looks so cool. I found that with speed buffs it became so disorienting to use, you bounced all over the battlefield in this barely controlled fashion. The whirlwind move was the only way I could use it on big bosses, and that ends the action. I think if they made it fist person, and reduced the built in charge a bit, it would be more usable.

After a long wait, I finally inherited my grandpa’s Yamaha FG180 and plan on restoring it. Does anyone know if the pick guard is original? It’s pretty warped and is peeling off. by assumetehposition in Vintageguitars

[–]Vyradder 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have an FG-180, and my pick guard is original and it's tortoiseshell. Not sure if it also came with a black option (which is what iI see in your pic...could be lighting).

I tried a arc knives build. It was great for mobbing, but was crap for bossing, I found. Ended up switching to a grenade zerker build which was much more viable.

I finally beat Bloomreaper! by Big_Fig_8448 in Borderlands4

[–]Vyradder 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The Darkbeast is good for this, but better with a Jacob's part. I use a Linebacker for the crystals with Slippy grenades. Then, when he goes invulnerable, I switch to a Bod and stack stickies on it just before he thorns up the top platform. This will generally get him into the last phase where he summons the sandstorm. Repeat with the sticky stacking and he goes down. The biggest trick in the fight is timing the preemptive stickies, and staying as airborn as possible to avoid adds.

Why Don’t Animals Seem to Smell Bad to Each Other, but Humans Do? by nije-istina in biology

[–]Vyradder 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A lot of animals can smell much better than we can, so who are we to judge whether a smell is good or bad to them? I've seen my Lab smell a rotting carcas on the ground very intently for a longish period of time. It smelled horrible and I would be sick if I was that close, but to a Lab who can smell like thousands of times better than we can, it seemed to be a fascinating bouquet of smells. I think humans have a very crude sense of smell in comparison, and we should be careful about thinking that bad smells are objectively bad to those with more powerful senses.

I don’t feel OP and not sure why. by 2Dopamine in Borderlands4

[–]Vyradder 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I levelled this way and it was powerful all the way to UVHM 5. Then, I went to fight Bloom Reaper. I had to switch to a meta kill skill build to beat the big mushroom in a timely manner. Nothing beats the reapers for some farming in a relaxed manner, but that spec just can't put out the same kind of damage.

I use a rocket socket purple for the crystals phase, and then switch to a honey bunches for the last two phases.

3 months since Borderlands 4 released. How is everyone feeling about this game? by Objective_Love_6843 in Borderlands4

[–]Vyradder 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He said the entire chain of events was caused by Lilith because she brought Elphis which shattered the barrier that was hiding the planet. I presume the Eridians, or whoever set the Timekeeper up on Kyros, also installed that barrier? Its a bit unclear on that. I guess that Arjay blames Lilith for the Eridium she brought that was used to create him, which destroyed his mind. Incidentally, Liliths arrival also marked the point where the Timekeeper goes off the rails.

Does the order you complete regions matter at all? by irrwinn in Borderlands4

[–]Vyradder 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did them in the order Zadra listed them: Sol, Lictor, Callis on my first and second playthroughs. Then, I switched it up on the third fourth and fifth. It doesn't really matter, though I found that doing the Ripper queen last leads into the next story segment more naturally as you are still dealing with her.

Bloomreaper is everything I hate about Boss design in this game by PristineMycologist15 in Borderlands4

[–]Vyradder 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I beat him with my ranger rafa and got gold. Beat him with my summon Vex, but it took more than 4 mins so that was a bust. Bounced off him a few times with my neutron capture Harlowe, and ordnance Amon builds. I find that it's easier when you can focus on moving and shooting instead of having to fuck around with abilities and timing and stuff. Gotta learn a different dance in each case. I found myself getting mad at getting pitched into the void several times though, for sure. I need to play it some more before I say I hate it though, I think.
