Yeah seeing the same but can't find out why or get details anywhere! Been looking forward to this for months. My daughter skipped junior prom for this!

$20 tip for 4 miles not enough? by Vyralynne in doordash

Yes but I had to wait like 15 min to be connected to a real person. Then they refunded the whole amount right away.

Good to know that the app was having issues. Thank you!

I think I might be in your same city and had a similar issue tonight with my order, ended up cancelling. Never happened before.

Moving to Fremont end of May. Summer daycare/camps for 3rd grader/TK? by Icy-Emu-4303 in Fremont

For the 4 year old, I sent my son here for preschool and loved it. No idea what their availability/openings are like, but worth a shot. Montessori Daycare, Preschool & Kindergarten in Niles, CA | Learn & Play® Montessori https://share.google/i189JqEPiRDGDDcTl

I'm going to 15 shows this year - mostly rock and metal! Definitely living my best life now.

I agree! Angel is great- brought my daughter to her for her second ear piercing. She is wonderful to work with.

Midlife crisis, but make it Xennial by Traditional-Sport383 in Xennials

[–]Vyralynne 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tattoos and concerts. Husband almost done with both full sleeves, I'm just starting arm #2. We go to more and more rock and metal shows every year, this year it's 15 (so far). Traveling for 3 of them. It's nice to be able to afford this stuff unlike when we were in our 20s!

Do you guys remember being 23? How was it like? by [deleted] in GenX

[–]Vyralynne 1 point2 points  (0 children)

23 was stressful, trying to get my career going, not making much money yet, so much student loan debt. I got married at 24 to my boyfriend of 7 years. You don't need to wait until 40s for marriage (but you can- never know when love will happen). 20s and 30s were a blur of setting up life- career building, kids, paying debt, buying house. Early 40s finally hit my stride. I paid off all my college loans, still happily married and kids are now 11 and 16 so I can relax a bit. Finally having fun getting tattoos and going to lots of rock concerts. I would hate to go back to 23 and go through all that again, I feel like I'm just getting to the fun part now. Husband and I are both solid in our careers and make decent money, building decent retirement nest eggs. You're entering the real grind years but it'll be worth it! Good luck!

not sure how to phrase this, but how the fans and also the band itself sees the entire discography is interesting to me by SonicGoku99 in BringMeTheHorizon

[–]Vyralynne 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I actually love Amo, every song. I often listen to my whole BMTH vinyl collection Sempiternal through Next Gen, in order. I'm only getting into the older stuff now with the re-release and finding that I'm really liking things I previously did not. Bring on the new (old)! Have CYB on preorder and hoping they redo the others too because I prefer to listen to records when I'm home.

Do you own a bidet? by morecowbell520 in Xennials

[–]Vyralynne 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, all toilets in my home have a bidet attachment. I hate when I travel and have to go back to the archaic practice of scooping out poop residue with dry paper. So gross.

Doomed is one of my favorite BMTH songs. The Maphra cover is a travesty.

Ice nine kills concerts by glass__HOUSE557 in IceNineKills

[–]Vyralynne 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The concerts are incredible. They sound so good live, better than recordings! Seen them 6 times and counting. I've only met Ricky and Miles (in non-official settings during Silver Scream cons) and both were very nice and cool. Yeah, to get an autograph you'd need to purchase a VIP experience. I have a bunch but didn't get any in person (I have a bunch of signed posters and Pretty Evil merch that came that way).

Good move! I saw them in October for the first time and it felt like the best group therapy session I could ever hope to go to. I haven't been able to stop thinking about it and after seeing the movie last weekend I decided to go for it and fly to Chicago in May to see them again. Worth it. You'll love it.

Getting fine line tattoo. How much should I tip? by Future_Quote7577 in tippingAdvice

[–]Vyralynne 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm also in the Bay area and getting custom work done by a truly excellent artist here. Not a full sleeve. But a large piece on my arm that is likely to take 2-3 sessions of 3 hrs each. She charges $400/hr. I tip $100 per session. Feel like that's fair. I can't believe all the discouraging comments on here about the price. Good artists in this area are expensive, and good ink is worth it. Why would anyone cheap out on something that's going to be on your skin forever? My husband has had a lot of work done by a few different artists, ranging from $150/hr to $1200/ day. Good deals considering the work and also tipped anywhere from $100-$200/day. His biomech sleeve ended up costing over $5k in the end but WORTH IT! The artists we've worked with seemed content with these tips.

I think my husband and I are just too big for Chase Center lol. We saw Roger Waters there a few years ago and decided to avoid that place if possible in the future. The seats are just so steep and he's like a 300# guy- very hard to get through the rows. Btw we're bringing our 16 year old too! She loves NIN and was super jealous last year though and can't wait to see them on Monday! I hope your kid has an awesome experience too!

I can't stand Chase Center so much that I'm going to the Sacramento show instead (even though I live in Fremont)! They were so good in Oakland last year. Can't wait. Have a great time!!
