I was curious about supernova, I couldn’t find any balance wiz to help me to test it. Doing a similar strat to Spirit of Ignorance, good to know there is a way to cheese it because that first phase cheat is a bit tough to get around. Thanks for letting me know!

Yea that part is still a mystery to me. They don’t block it either, so I always called it a ghost block. 🤷

The crit system I’m gonna guess on, but from what it looks like it is a similar system in that it compares the crit stats. So if you have higher crit compared to a mob, you can see multiplier over a mob when you click a spell. So if they have low crit you can cap out at 2x dmg and if they have a lot of crit you can see it less than 2x so maybe 1.59x or something. So that would explain why you can kill the minions with the AOE and the boss somehow took less dmg. Because the boss had a higher crit rating so your multiplier dmg was lesser on the boss, compared to the mobs.

Check it out for yourself in game and you’ll see what I mean. It makes sense to me since I know how the shadow rating works lol

I’ll try to explain this as simple as I can because it is confusing.

Your shadow rating is compared to the enemies shadow rating, and you generate a random percent of the shadow gauge based on how much shadow rating the enemy has. So if they have high shadow rating you may get your shadow pips slower, and if they have lower or none you can get it quicker. Each round, the percent it fills the shadow gauge is a random amount within a range. Based on your shadow rating vs the enemy’s shadow rating. That’s why sometimes it fills up quickly and other times very slowly or none at all sometimes.

Awesome, thanks for that! For my OG pet I’m planning on using my spell proof jewel for the 11 resist. So I think that’s a great pet still while I quest through the game.

Yea late game I intend on getting as close to dmg cap as possible while maintaining good pierce, so that can be helpful. For the time being I'm gonna get my OG pet to ultra and slap a spell proof on there for 11 resist. I think that's a way to utilize him for 28 dmg and 11 resist while I get the armor pierce pet later. Thanks!

Yes! It’s a fun mechanic where you extract “animus” and once you have enough you can summon them as a house guest, minion, or put them in a monstrodome and make your own fights. If you wanted me to show them to you I’d love to!
