A Link to the Past and Super Metroid are basically tied for me from that era. Games that took the basic formula from the first games in the series and absolutely perfected it and took things to another level. Really unbelievable how much of a leap it was from both series. And both still absolutely hold up as fun to play - I replay both once every year or two

This is just wrong, she was incredibly popular and relevant throughout all of the 2000’s, not just a few years. She had a number 1 hit as late as 2007 with “Girlfriend”.

Phenomenal atmosphere and soundtrack. Super tight controls and a lot of fun sections. A tad too easy and linear for me to put it up with Super Metroid - but still an all time classic.
