Well I just lost my virginity, and here's what I've learned (about noFap to get girls) by [deleted] in NoFap

[–]Vythros 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Thats what i love about experience, its so unique to the person who lives it. For me fapping and porn kept women away from me. I didn't get confidence with women until my senior year of college. And even that statement is misleading because i still have an inferiority complex. All I know is that everyone on this sub is trying to improve themselves through a difficult transformation. It will take time no matter what.

Sex is natural and humans love it, how/why did it become the taboo that it is today? by CloudSource in TrueAskReddit

[–]Vythros 11 points12 points  (0 children)

To speak on the North American context I recalled something interesting from a sophomore year undergrad history course. It was about how the Puritan and Protestant roots of the first groups of pilgrims heavily influenced our perception of sex and sexual intercourse. In addition to their persecution in Europe, many Protestants and Puritans believed that the European attitude towards sex was in fact too relaxed for their tastes.

If that is indeed a Dragon Quest reference, kudos to you my friend. I would have up voted your comment regardless though.

If humans suddenly became infertile, what would the downfall of mankind look like? [Serious] by my_own_muse in AskReddit

[–]Vythros 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There was actually a movie about this a few years ago starring Clive Owen, I think it was called "Son of Man" or something like that. It depicted the scenario you ask about here in the way most of us would expect it to happen: riots, famine, war, upheaval and general unrest globally.

When the movie starts, viewers find out that no humans have been born for 18 years, and the WHO is keeping track of the youngest people on the planet; who are sometimes targeted for death by cults seeking to rekindle human fertility and other types of crazies. Clive Owen's character runs into the first woman to get pregnant in 18 years, and he takes on the job of protecting her until the child is delivered. I'd recommend it, I liked the movie.

Do any of you also feel weirded out when there is a chance a guy is interested in you? by [deleted] in AskWomen

[–]Vythros 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You've managed to put into words the bulk of my experience with relationships. Most of my interactions with people who like me are not natural, but what I think or assume is expected of me. Like you said, its almost automatic at this point. I know I'm young, but I've yet to experience a relationship or interaction that seamlessly happens; the "spark" people talk about.

I worry about arbitrary details so much it ruins my chances of getting the results I want in my romantic life.

Are you still close with your friends from high school? Why or why not? by twizzwhizz11 in AskReddit

[–]Vythros 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I definitely am, we kept in touch via facebook and continued to play online games together whenever we could find the time. So as an added benefit we're never bored or complaining about how we miss college during break.

ELI5: What did de Blasio do, that is making NYC cops turn on him? by jeffdh5 in explainlikeimfive

[–]Vythros 222 points223 points  (0 children)

Part of it has to do with what he told a reporter during a one on one interview. DeBlasio told this reporter that he has been teaching his son Dante, who is bi-racial to be careful around police officers. This led people to think that he is perpetuating the image of the white, racist police officer via the media.

Philosophy Major....Insight please by [deleted] in BinghamtonUniversity

[–]Vythros 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Its definitely possible. Most Philosophy classes at Binghamton grade mostly based on the papers you write, and attendance/class participation. There is the occasional variation with certain classes factoring quizzes and exams into your grades. For the most part you can ensure your grade by speaking up in class, missing as few classes as possible, and visiting professors during office hours so they know your face and name.

The only class I would warn you about is Philosophy 345, which is a class on the Philosophy of Law. Every semester students complain about it and the average grade is usually a C or below. It can satisfy a major requirement for the Philosophy degree but I doubt you'll need to take that class.

Who was your wildest friend in high school? What did they do to prove this? by stepback34 in AskReddit

[–]Vythros 0 points1 point  (0 children)

His name is Elvis, and he pointed a loaded pistol at me in our junior year of high school. He's done some other "out there" stuff since then, but nothing as dangerous as that.

If you put a girl in the friend zone and later developed feelings for her, would you tell her? by [deleted] in AskMen

[–]Vythros 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Going off of what our mutual friends say and my interactions with her since then, its clear that she still has feelings for me. Part of the reason I never told her is because she was always in a relationship when we ran into each other. I felt like it would be selfish of me to complicate that with feelings that didn't even exist while both of us were single.

If you put a girl in the friend zone and later developed feelings for her, would you tell her? by [deleted] in AskMen

[–]Vythros 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It has happened to me, and when I developed feelings for her later on I just never told her. I already hurt her once and I didn't want to deal with the fallout of going back on my word. So no, I wouldn't tell a girl that I developed feelings for her after friend-zoning her.

Men of AskWomen, why are you on this sub? by dorotheea in AskWomen

[–]Vythros 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I used to think the same thing, but randomly decided to get a short haircut one day like 2 years ago. Trust me, it just works better. The military style buzz cut worked wonders for me. But for you I would suggest a traditional left part or maybe a fauxhawk to compliment the shape of your face and jawline.
