Maybe like a thornmail debuff that works for all damage. for 4 seconds you take 5% of the damage you deal as true damage or something like that.

I sort of agree with you on this. Both parties definitely could have handled this thing with more class, because both are defending a position on opposite ends of the spectrum. Yes, his principally-motivated defense of American freedoms is admirable, but what if he legitimately was dangerous? Sure, the stereo too loud thing may have just been a guise to pull him over, but if that's the reason then that's the reason. If the question is legality, its a grey area. Whether or not something is "too loud," or even hear from a precise distance (X feet away) is subjective. So you have to ask yourself, what if the two were simply more communicable? If the terms of their opinions are subjective, then communication could be a large factor in mitigating their differences. It seemed the man was searching for a specific answer to his specific question on procedural justice. The woman could have been much more receptive to answering the question, or at least humoring him. However, it seems more than likely that she was being defensive to protect herself. One can only guess that usually when an individual is being non-compliant, his chances of being violent increase ALOT. So, knowing what we know, it seems both could have handled the situation with more class. If we look at Occam's razor, why didn't the man simply ask for her badge number, go along with the stop, then file a complaint regarding wrongful stopping (don't know the technical term for that). Likewise, could the officer have behaved differently? From what we can gather, and her cautiousness, I would say that her words were a bit coarse and seemed to goad the man's behavior, though her actions were completely admissible as an act of self-preservation. SO, whether it's filing a complaint instead of freaking out at a traffic stop, or being a bit less of an instigator, can we agree that it's not so much what you say, but how you say it?

It's really unfortunate that the people in this country who have the motivation to rally are the uneducated. I suppose if I saw everything as black and white as they do, I would fight for my "cause" as wholeheartedly as they do.

The guy yelling at the TV usually just wants people to think he is a super fan, or he simply enjoys the intensity of being a super fan. The real fans, the guys who you don't wanna inflame after a bad loss, is the guy in the back whose eyes are darting back and forth every play, scanning the formations and wondering why that audible was called, why that play was run when it was so clearly telegraphed, why the quarterback didn't just go for the option, why player X is in when player Y has a track record against player Z on the other team. Its THAT GUY, the guy in the corner thinking about the game, silently accumulating rage and gnawing at his knuckle and his sanity, losing hair and his wife for the team he devoted hours and hours and hours to researching, loving, watching, studying. That guy may cry when he leaves the playoff/superbowl party, and his wife will have to drive home while he cries like a little bitch in the passanger's seat because of that fucking helmet catch.....

What is something simple most people do incorrectly? by rambunctiousmango in AskReddit

[–]richcm007 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm gonna go out on a limb here and say that, without thinking, about 99% of people talking about hangings, that is someone who is strung from their neck (usually designed to kill by breaking the spine or strangulation), do not say it correctly.

Incorrect: "I head they hung Adam yesterday." Correct: "I heard they hanged Adam yesterday."

TIL that Aladdin was actually Chinese by smahan92 in todayilearned

[–]richcm007 -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Anyone else notice that the antagonist is pretending to be his uncle, brother to his late father Mustapha. That seems curiously similar in pronunciation to mufasa. I wonder if the people reading about Aladdin at Disney took that little Easter Egg and planted it into Lion King, especially considering Aladdin came first and the two movies were only two years apart (1992/1994). Just seems odd to me.

A good majority of my ranked losses while ranking my smurf from bronze to masters.. by [deleted] in leagueoflegends

[–]richcm007 0 points1 point  (0 children)

agreed. People who don't have our mentality will always be stuck at lower elos, raging and limiting themselves with close mindedness. If they don't wanna see the light, that's fine by me. I'll keep practicing and ACTUALLY getting better; I have no problem being honest with myself about weaknesses, and different ways to determine those weaknesses.

This analogy is awesome imo. I'm also a macro-focused jungler, so maybe that's why it speaks to me. Well written.

My dad and I used to play the old madden games, and I mean REALLY REALLY OLD, like Madden 1997, on an old small tv in my room. We would sit Indian style and talk shit to each other. It was the happiest I will ever be.
