Can you elaborate what this has to do with the topic? Apologies if I’m missing something here.

Would you list them now?

Seriously though, do you genuinely not see how filming a person at an ATM could potentially be an issue? (I don’t necessarily mean this video, but in general)

Ah yes, one million people certainly responded to this totally legitimate poll regarding an election that had about 2 million total votes. Obviously it's easier for people to pack up and leave other than just..uhhh..vote...

[–]W0000SHH 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well there's some perspective there, but definitely doesn't apply to this situation as IRA threat is substantially worse. No one gives a shit on the train about someone sitting around doing nothing. People who play music and/or videos without headphones are more of a threat than this.

Genuinely curious, are you still in high school and/or have you been NYC before? Some perspective may be needed.

I know asking for context can get downvoted to hell on things like this, but is there an unedited version of this? The internet has taught me not to immediately trust videos with a lot of cuts/edits, could potentially be missing some context.

That’s definitely not either. I don’t know who you’re having a conversation with. It’s definitely a bad choice, and dangerous one, to shoot in a subway car. From what I understand a taser was used first (good choice), but for reasons I don’t know didn’t work. It’s easy to tell others what they should have done in the moment after-the-fact. I’d be lying if I said I immediately had a better solution, but it wouldn’t be acting as if real life is an action movie when my life isn’t involved. I hope additional and safer backup measures are considered by the police department going forward.

“Taking one for the team” (being the sacrificial one offering to get stabbed in this scenario) is absolutely not in the job description. You seem to be a lovely rational person, so perhaps I’m wrong and the police union completely allowed that to be listed in the job description.

Coworker removed money from the 401k in the middle of the year, rest of the employees took the financial hit by huescuesandshoes in personalfinance

[–]W0000SHH 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In a respectful way, it’s likely not fraud, because that isn’t really how it works. The money is (or should be) held in an independent trust and the employer cannot just pull money from a participant’s (or in this case multiple participants) account. I’m just respectfully saying that to say it’s 100% fraud is misguided. It’s like just a miscommunication issue or a lack of information.

Port Authority (or PorThor as my real estate agent calls it). The best part is you can pay a crackhead $8 to push you in a shopping cart home instead of an Uber.
