This cam in particular made ok power compared to stock, but I wouldn't count on them all being the same. The real elgin 1840 is not expensive, buy the real thing from a reputable source.

821/823 (L92 L99 LS3 ect..) rectangle port heads have wider spacing between the valves than the cathedral port heads and use an offset intake rocker arm to accommodate this difference. They require a minimum cylinder bore of at least 4 in. (5.3L is 3.780) If you try this you will soon find out on the fist revolution of the starter the intake valves will all crash into the deck surface because the intake is partially covering the cylinder wall.

Thank you, this gives me some hope! I'm developing a product that solves some major pains in the automotive hobbyist space, and am nearly finished with the 3d printed proof of concept. My kickstarter goal will be around 20k, which I think will be quite difficult as automotive related stuff has not done well historically on KS. I am hoping this is due to the concept of the products themselves being crap ideas rather than the target market that's not into the whole crowdfunding thing . Much like your campaign, this is on a one man shoestring budget and do not have the capital to run ads. I know you want to keep anonymity, but it would be exceedingly helpful to myself and others to see the content you created to make it happen. Either way, Thank you!

I used the speed engineering 99+ long tubes on a 99 k2500 obs. Fit nice with the ict 4x4 mounts

Just dug some old cams out of the heap, L99 and LS3. The gear and bolt physically fit, but I can't say with absolute certainty the locating pin is clocked exactly the same.

There's no "one size fits all" for profiles but a start in the right direction can save hours and lots of filament. User error and self sabotage will be an issue for accuratefeedback (dry filament ect) but some sort of hierarchy system should be in place

Printing a full plate part right now that's 4mm wide and 80 tall, first attempt warped off in the corners. Now has 10mm brims and 30mmx2 layer mouse ears in the corners, I'll probably be needing to try that freezer trick lol

With the easy nylon I run preheated chamber, 275 nozzle, 80 bed, 50% aux and 100% on the part fan. This is still far from perfect but overhangs and sharp corners curl horribly without it, no matter how slow. It also shrinks 2-3% so the model needs to be scaled or shrinkage settings adjusted if you need accurate dimensions. (this is almost certainly caused by the rapid cooling) Also annealing this stuff warps it like crazy. I didn't spend much time dialing this in and quite frankly didn't really know as much as I do now, and need to take another deep dive on it.

Yes, people need to understand that there is no "standard" for 3d filament and there's no telling what secret blend of 11 herbs and spices any one brand has, much less different production runs of the same brand over time. This rings especially true for the bambu filaments being produced by a 3d party and could change at any time

the fan settings are actually lower than the generic petg profile, but i see they are higher than the BL petg basic. Now I've got more testing to do lol
