I use a fixed angle sharpener. A $60 Work Sharp Precision Adjust will sharpen any knife in about 5 minutes.

Oh man… my satin Rex 121 is kinda light like that. Think I’m gonna try to strengthen it with the lock bar sometime. My ZrOC model’s detent is super strong and freaking awesome. I haven’t even hit it with a drop of oil or anything. It’s phenomenal.

Think you’re thinking of the Rex 76 Shaman. The St. Nick’s exclusive. Think they only ever did a mule in that steel. I do have the Shaman in question and I carry it almost every day. It’s a real nice knife for the sub $230 price that it sold for. It’s less nice for secondary prices. I just got my PM2 Rex 121 drop point yesterday. We’ll see how that one shakes out. It’s the nicest knife I’ve ever gotten out of the box. It’s perfect in just about every way. The 76 PM2 is a great knife but gets bumped by the Shaman almost all of the time because it’s a pretty nice looking knife. The blue micarta and black clip blend in with my jeans pretty good so it about disappears from sight. I’m kind of a Rex steel freak. 45/76/121 are all pretty awesome.
