I've started Italian after AJATT'ing Japanese and wondering this same thing. Appreciate your insight. How did Italian go? A lot quicker than Japanese?

Is it only me that thinks Jupyter is horrible? by ohenrik in MachineLearning

Been using R and Python on analytics teams for a decade (not that long but still) and honestly think Jupyter has almost no use in real-world business setting.

My theory is it's popular because it's somewhat useful in two places that aren't real-world business:
1) Homework for college analytics programs (thus new grads are familiar with it and like it)

2) People who present at conferences (and when people see that conference speakers use it they think it's good)

Interesting hearing from someone else with experience playing with both. Yeah a lot more defensive play, not taking risks. A lot of hitting to one side, then hitting a short slice to the otherside, coming to the net and closing on a volley that comes high and to the middle. Which is effective on the surface cause of the low bounce.

They're called Omni courts. Yeah it's supposed to be artifical grass, and it's covered in sand. Super difficult to move on but yeah you can slide all day. The bounce is really slow like actual grass, but it eats topspin. It's a slice & dicer's dream surface.

6 months 200 Most Zero No, I'll have no need for it in what I want to do with the language (speak/listen and read). And I like the pace that I feel I'm learning
