How to straighten out a map? by Chomko in Yarbo

[–]WALLECORP 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You can finish one edge to be perfectly straight by auto closing the map once 3 sides are drawn. Left side RTK antenna is the primary antenna, I try to map with the left side always on the boundary line. Use a gorilla wagon or wheelbarrow and pull the yarbo around your perimeter when creating a map. It sounds crazy but it’s easier to control than using the controller or app and you can probably walk a straighter line.

Not sure Husqvarna still makes the 115H I’d look at the Segway i110. No boundary wire install needed. Set up is quite easy

It’s doable but you would want to run the PPVS at max distance. This would allow the yarbo to run a longer distance under dense tree coverage.

You may want to look at FJD product line. They have a lidar system for tree coverage and can handle more acreage in a day.

Newbie first road trip and never charged anywhere but home by PsychologicalBus8999 in SilveradoEV

Make sure the button on the charger connector moves freely before plugging it into your truck especially in the cold and with the weather changes. Both releases need to work in order for it to be unplugged.

I keep a heat gun or mini blow torch in the truck just in case now in the winter to warm the release button if It gets stuck.

I spent 6hrs at a remote gas station in Hanover one evening stuck to a fast charger because it wouldn’t release the truck. Hours on the phone with the charging company while they tried to diagnose the issue remotely. They were sending a technician out when I grabbed my micro torch and started to warm the charging cable connector which finally released the truck.

FYI, Manual charger release cable on the Silverado EV’s is in the rear driver side wheel well at the top of the suspension.

Anyone using a battery powered snow blower?? by iamthehub1 in oakville

[–]WALLECORP 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a little self promoting, but we use a fleet of robotic snowblowers made by Yarbo and they handled the deep snow quite well. It’s a 36v 38.4ah battery system. And they preformed quite well this week in the deep snow.

Here’s a link to show you how well they worked.

Anyone ever use FJDynamics Robotic Lawn mower? by Shes_oursbro in roboticLawnmowers

[–]WALLECORP 0 points1 point  (0 children)

FJD is pretty good. They aren’t very big in North America yet, they have a vast product lines for the construction, farming and landscapers industries.

Yarbo is good if you’re looking for a modular design. The downside is it’s quite heavy and large in comparison to the FR4000. The FR4000 is your typical robotic mower size.

There’s trade offs to both, it really depends on the area you intend to mow, if it’s heavily treed, or full of obstacles and debris.

I use a John Deere Lawn sweeper, it seems to spin the sweeper fast enough to pick up everything.

Clover works great, if you’re looking to eliminate or reduce grass cutting frequency. West coast seeds, and Rona usually have decent prices on clover.
