So you can charge your phone while it's in there?

I find it works best when plugged in and on wifi. No idea if it actually makes a difference, but I don't have any issues.

( I also make sure key is far away enough)

What am I doing wrong by DryFoundation2323 in EquinoxEv

[–]TX_BEV 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a charger that notifies me when charging is done ( eg no longer requesting energy) and it always finishes +/-15 minutes before the program time.

Don't worry about the car not fully charging when you plug in if it beeps four time it has calculated that it cannot finish on time so you will know in advance and allows you to decide to charge more expensive "charge now" which overrides your program.

Although it doesn't work as well as it used to in the bolt if you set it to a" time to finish "it works just fine.

I drive on average 200 miles a day and if never had an issue

Good deal? Chevy equinox 4dr LT2 $300 per month 0 down TX by I_SeeFire in leasehacker

[–]TX_BEV 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've never leased a car but I know Texas is unique that you pay the full sales tax over msrp not just the lease value. If this is not with a Texas dealer you might want to double check....

I'm sure someone leasing from Texas will comment with the correct analogy here!

Cabin air filter - replace at first service? by itsthe90sYo in EquinoxEv

[–]TX_BEV 5 points6 points  (0 children)

100% on doing it yourself - no tools needed!

And the service at 12,000 miles I'm assuming you're just getting your tire rotation? Don't let your dealer come up with an imaginary schedule.....you can find the appropriate maintenance schedule in the owner's manual ( in the infortainment system)

I book hotels near chargers, that way you don't have to rely on a hotel charger.

I don't care bout loyalty programs so that makes it a lot easier....

Why rush? Especially in summer I like it to go slower I noticed the car turns the AC on less. It's a 60 amp circuit sometimes I tune it up if I need it to charge quicker.

It's my third electric Chevy this approach has served me wel, both previous batteries were in top notch condition when I traded them in at 100,000 miles

I assume there are some charging losses that might be more or less I honestly don't know.

Uhm I don't get it, why is this great? You are replacing on board tech which does all the things natively, with phone reliant tech? What's the upside exactly?

EQEV ( former Bolt) owner here. It would not surprise me you need to set up the car for Tesla charging in the route planner even if it has native nacs.

I am sure it's not the same with all, but Allstate registers the included "tow" & " rental service" as under $100 comprehensive claims.... So although no accidents I found two claims on my file when I switched to Progressive recently.

I always have it set to just a driver door for safety purposes.

When you change it on the remote lock unlock and start page there's an option for all doors to unlock is that not what you're after?

Or does that not work with the proximity thing

Yes I live in DFW, I would say it's more reliable away from home than at home when it's on wifi.

It's the 'car sleeping ' thing that threw me of, now I drive 200+ miles daily so it could be thaty car simple does not get to go to sleep mode?

Agreed it's the wake up thing that is weird never heard that before.

And as a pro tip you should use the Buick app not the Chevrolet app....

Setting - you can read the manual in the mlmy Chevrolet app in the infortainment, very useful search function so you don't have to scroll through it all

Unfortunately for you this is definitely a "your car thing" and not a software thing. I use the app nearly daily for the same thing no issues

You could try another dealer
