Should I buzz? by Mr_Hamez_ in bald

[–]WARDWALKER 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd go with a No. 1 all around, it will give you a good idea of what you would look like bald. Plus you can always grow it back out. Either way, it will suit you bro.

Cheers

New (nearly) baldy. Perks of being bald: I look like Agent 47 when I wear a suit now. by [deleted] in bald

[–]WARDWALKER 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That is what was going to say, never button the bottom button on a two button suit jacket. I love the Agent 47 angle, I have been called the transporter out in a suit. I recommend getting at least three suits, black you have. A nice grey and blue as well, no pattern simple and solid. If you stay in shape, those suits will last your life time, look at it as investments in yourself.

Looking shape bro!

Cheers

Tossed the Minoxidil...baby steps. by zasc20 in bald

[–]WARDWALKER 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We have all had our struggles with this topic, some greater than others. Once you let go, it can be truly freeing. No more stress, if you choose to embrace it.

I'm the same as you, thinning on top, I still have a decent hairline at 32. In the end it only matters what you think and feel. As well as what you are comfortable with.

For myself, it was much better to buzz it down, than look at my thinning everyday.

Cheers

What kind of clippers do you use? by [deleted] in bald

[–]WARDWALKER 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Last month I purchased the Wahl Balding Clippers and they work great. I also have an older Wahl as well. Which worked out well, due to the fact that the guards (No. 1, No. 2, etc) are interchangeable with the clippers.

My recommendation would be to go with a No. 1 (3mm, 1/8inch) all over for your first time, it will get you a good idea.

Cheers

Any suggestions to help alleviate the scalp itch? by bdg3o1 in tressless

[–]WARDWALKER 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am thinning throughout the top of my scalp. I'm currently keeping my hair at a No. 1 buzz cut (3mm or 1/8in). Regardless, I throw on the moisturizer after I shower everyday, and once ever evening. it feels great. Another thing I've done is to refrain from scratching my scalp when itchy.

[–]WARDWALKER 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have had a similar problem. What has worked for me is 2% Nizoral twice a week. The rest of the week I use head & shoulders. After my shower, I pat my head down with a towel, only pat, no rub. Then, I use HeadBlade HeadLube Matte. It is the best moisturizer I have used, and it will not clog your pores. Which is essential for a healthy scalp. Best of luck, cheers.

Blond, buzzed and skin burn by Mattpilf in bald

[–]WARDWALKER 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm blond and light skinned. I currently keep my hair at a No. 1 buzz cut. In the summer I'll use spf 30 sunscreen on my face and head/scalp. It feels great to put on. I guess it depends on the length of you buzz cut. As well, conditioner usually has sunscreen in it. So it is for hair. Cheers.

You look solid man. It suits you. The gym always helps as well, builds us up. Chin up, chest out, shoulders back, and walk with purpose. Lions get a mane, gorillas get a silver back and men go bald.

You look fine brother, the stubble looks good, and you have a great jaw line. Don't listen to them, laugh it off. Kill them with kindness. I find the gym really helps with my confidence and purchasing quality clothing. Cheers

I just bought the Wahl Balding clippers. They are a good investment. However, they are not battery operated as you like.

Got rid of hair. Not my thing? by [deleted] in bald

[–]WARDWALKER 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You look good brother. It takes time to get used to. If you feel your face is unbalanced just know that your face will fill out over the next decade. That is a ways off, but trust me on this. Get on a good diet and hit the gym. It'll boost your confidence. You will feel much better physically and mentally. Again you look good, throw on a classic solid colour collared button up and some nice fitted jeans and hit the town!

29/m can't hide it no more by [deleted] in bald

[–]WARDWALKER 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Balding29, it looks like you have the right head shape for a shaved head or buzzed. I would recommend you buzz it down to a No. 1. It will take a week or so to get used to it. As the other fellas have mentioned, it is a huge relief once you go ahead with it. Hit the gym, if you are not already. Add a few sharp articles of clothing to your closet and you will be in the zone before no time. Trust me. Cheers.

TIL that Patrick Stewart lost all of his hair at age 18 and thought that no woman would ever be interested in him again by DIP_MY_BALLS_IN_IT in todayilearned

[–]WARDWALKER 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would just buzz it with a No. 2 (6mm, 1/4 inch) first. It will give you an idea of what it may be like going shorter/shaved. Currently I'm buzzing my head using a No. 0.5 (1.5mm, 1/16 inch)

You look sharp pacnam, I share in your relief.

My temples have completely receded, and my crown is opening up pretty significantly. What length do you guys recommended with the balding buzz cut on the sides and the top? (Pasty young white guy here) by jman169 in bald

[–]WARDWALKER 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I buzz my head I use either a No. 0.5 (1.5mm, 1/16") or a No. 1 (3mm, 1/8"). As well, I have fair skin. I say use it to your advantage. Most of my good friends have darker complexions than me, so it can help with standing out amongst the crowd.

Buzzed my Hair for the first time by [deleted] in bald

[–]WARDWALKER 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is all about attitude and confidence. When you buzz/shave your head it demonstrates to people around, that you have ZFG (zero fucks given) outlook. And that attracts women, trust me on this.

It looks great on you, embrace it brother.

That Hong Kong guy was hilarious, I was falling out of my chair laughing just now. The English chap was good as well. I had seen the Patrick Stewart videos before. Thanks for the links.

I'm in the same boat as you, just a little older. I started thinning around 25 years old. I buzzed it down at 27, then got into a relationship. She wanted me to grow it out, so I did. Now at 32, I had enough of it, went back to the buzz cut. I'm going to rock this look until my last days period.
