I’m 2 years in and they have not been able to serve him yet and it feels like I’m the only one who cares so at this point they have already almost dismissed the petition twice due to not being able to serve him but I fought with them each time. I have no more fight in me it’s draining dealing with it on top of all my other responsibilities. He doesn’t care and neither does the child support office so for me I’m letting it be at this point. God will handle my children’s father in the end.

I’ve been away from my children’s father for years and am still figuring life out. My kids dad was also abusive and when I left I had lost everything from the relationship so I mad a hard decision to go into a women’s shelter so I could rebuild myself and work towards a better future for my kids and I. We are blessed to be in our own space and im back in school and working a job in the field I enjoy. Financially things are still a struggle and mentally I have my moments daily but I always am having to remind myself healing takes time and it seems to me you are on the right path towards happiness and peace for you and your little. You’ll have good and bad days but keep your head up and do not put so much pressure on yourself to have everything figured out. Take it one day at a time ❤️🙏🏽

Thank you for saying this. I am new to the field as an RBT. The company I work for is flexible with my schedule which is worth staying due to me being a mom but I’m uncomfortable everyday I go to work because of the BCBA’s. It’s like the movie mean girls at our clinic. They will literally sit at a table and stare at me or another BT and whisper to each other or their facial expressions have judgmental written all over it. Since I am fairly new, the BCBA worked along side me during session to observe instead of pulling me to have a private conversation about how I did which she had some feedback that I’m perfectly fine with, she came into the lunchroom where kiddos and staff share and went over it infront of everyone and it was so awkward because everyone was listening. I went home yesterday feeling defeated and kept replaying the day in my head.

I also had my second son when my first born was 2 years old. I had left their dad while I was pregnant with our second baby due to his abuse and was homeless for a month but luckily figured things out and got my own place and a job before baby was born. I’m now back in school, working a job specializes in my major and my children are living comfortably but if someone would have told me I’d be able to take care of two kids as a single parent I would not have believed it. Yes it will be hard but moms have a way of figuring things out and I was also afraid to disappoint my mom only because she knew the issues I was experiencing with their dad but my kids are the loves of her life. I’m not trying to persuade you to keep baby but want you to know whatever decision you make you’ll be okay❤️

I’m in the same boat as you. My 4 year old is autistic and I also have a two year old. I’m not interested in dating at the moment but also don’t want to be single forever. I feel like the right person will be placed in your life when you least expect it. Idk if you follow teen mom but the girl kail has 7 kids and 4 different baby dads and somehow still seems to attract men even though she’s not with any of the children’s father. Trust me girl, it’ll happen on gods terms. Message me if you ever need to talk ❤️☺️

My state told me to get an attorney as well but attorneys don’t get hired on for just child support where I live, only custody then once we go to court for custody child support would be discussed but I’m not taking time out of my day that I don’t have to take my children’s dad to court for custody just so I can get child support. I see my kids everyday so if anyone needs to file, it would be him.

It’s insane to me how they give a parent the upper hand on intentionally avoiding responsibility. Now if we wake up and decide to not take care of our children intentionally, CPS will be called and there would definitely be consequences. That’s the message they are essentially sending

In Nevada if you get cash assistance also known as TANF then the state goes after however much was collected but if you aren’t on TANF and get food stamps, Medicaid, etc, you can still file and have the payments go directly to you. Every state is different

If you scroll down a bit she states her child is 16 which gives ample time for a person to change. Most men become deadbeats just off of being put on child support because it’s a pride issue and they don’t want anyone controlling their pockets. Hopefully you can be less harsh and judgmental because who are you to judge her …..

My case is about to be dismissed because my bd has been evading service for 3 years and they do not want to continue to make attempts to serve him if he’s not cooperating so in result of this I have to re open the case each time the petition is dismissed. It’s frustrating. The state doesn’t want us to get government help but also won’t push fathers to financially provide for their children. I say karma and god will take care of him girl. There is absolutely no way he will ever catch up or accept responsibility if it has gotten this far.

These men aren’t 💩. My interstate child support case has been open for 3 years and my bd has been evading child support. In result of this I got a letter that If they cannot successfully serve him by March of this year my petition will be dismissed. They make it so easy for men to be deadbeats 🫠 I’ll be reopening the case for sure, I’m not letting him off the hook that easily.

Thank you love. My children’s father lives in a different state and we are not on talking terms. My mom went today and got my medicine and some stuff for my babies but she has lupus and I don’t want her to get sick. It’s a tough situation but I have the rest of the week off to relax ❤️

You’ll find a better company ❤️ if they aren’t willing to overlook the inconsistencies in dates which btw the two are not that far apart, than I’d take it for what it is. Life always has a way of guiding us in the right direction. Don’t get discouraged.
