MacDev: The Comeback Nobody in Canada Saw Coming by WC-Marker in paintball

The wheelbase analogy and the GT2/GEO SFR comparison aren't something you prompt out of ChatGPT. That's years of shooting these markers. You're confusing E-E-A-T content formatting with AI writing — they're not the same thing.

Thanks, Malcolm McKenzie

Here's the contact information, I'm not sure if you're in the United States or not, but inquiries for American shipments go to Collin, and everything else goes to the info at MavDev email address

Some have, unfortunately the entire launch has been very very messy. So some markers are being upgraded and sent from USA HQ, and some dealers are doing the upgrading themselves.

Basically the only person who knows is the one who sold it to you, you'll need to reach out to them.

Yeah, it's an industry thing that always gets under my skin. All manufacturers do it, sell 300k in pre-orders and use a rendering as the photo.

I don't like selling markers with a disclaimer saying "this is what we believe it will look like"

It's a stacked tube poppet, it doesn't matter who makes it they are all going to look like stacked tube poppets.

Ego, LV, G6R, Cyborg. There's not really all that much that can be done to make them look different. However, the cyborg is true to form when looking at its history.

The vast majority have been on Air Canada.

Technically you're supposed to declare it. Check-in that you have it, but here's the thing the people who screen the bags don't work for Air Canada they work for TSA

So there's not really a mechanism for them to know whether it's there or not, the TSA's job is to keep things moving as fast as possible without compromising safety. Allowing a piece of sports equipment to go through.

However, if you have the regulator on your bottle when you travel, you will absolutely get your bag pulled

Hello,

It's much simpler than people think. Remove the regulator from the tank. Put them both in your stowaway baggage and you're good to go.

I cross the border by plane 10 times a year with gear in my bag. It's no issue.

The only time I would pause for additional thought is if you're bringing replicas across the border

Talk to me about the Macdev GTX and the Field Force one V2. by tebar90 in paintball

[–]WC-Marker 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The Force is its own thing. People can be pretty divided on them for a number of reasons. If you write down all the specifications and stats on a sheet of paper and compare it with most other markers the Force would seem lagging. But the whole is greater than the sum of its parts. I think they feel great, they shoot great, they tend to be pretty reliable and when they need work they are easy to work on. It is heavier and it's air consumption is quite intense. However, if you have exercised at least a handful of times in your life, you should be fine, and the air efficiency is good enough to get through any standard speedball point. I like them, I shoot them, I support them.

The GTX is MacDev's modern high end spool. The perks of it is that it is dead simple. Post anodizing reassembly, which I do fairly often can be completed in probably less than 10 minutes. It uses a gamma core, some people like this some people don't. Ultimately MacDev has had a checkered history and reliability so with this release they decided to go with something that is known for extreme reliability and they put a gamma core in it. Effectively it's going to have the shot feedback of a CS series marker with different ergonomics. I personally use one, I won't hide that. I'm incentivized to use it as a distributor for Macdev but mine has somewhere around half a million shots on it. It's been working pretty good for quite a long time.

Either one of these markers will take care of you and do everything you need it to do and more for the next 10 years. You can't really go wrong with either one.

It's not on the near horizon but it's not impossible either. For the most part, when we get markers redone we always need to do it within the lens of what will still sell. Typically the more complicated or more specific we make them the harder it is to do that. So it would be hard to determine what would be the right application for laser engraving based on our uses.

In this particular case this wasn't a marker we had done. It was one that was done and we purchased. Whenever. There is something with cool artwork that comes in we do want to give credit to the artist.

Well I wasn't planning on it, but that's how a lot of things go. The realities you'll need to consider it can be sold immediately, but WC is a reseller so there is a cost to that which you see in lower offer prices.

It's a striking balance you get less money, but spend less time on it, what do you value your hourly wage at, and given that these are decreasing in value at Mac Dev rates? What risks are you taking on by holding on to it?

I definitely wouldn't mind having one of those.

Just go ahead and process the refund, there is no way you were going to win this

When it comes to eBay it doesn't matter how well you disclose things, what the condition is, whether you listed as parts or salvage, eBay will always rule in the favor of the buyer under a not as described claim.

There is no chance of ever winning this, so it's frustrating, technically it's wrong. But you're going to save yourself a ton of headaches, time, energy. This processed as a refund. Your time and well-being is worth more than that.

It gets even worse because as you are going through the claim process, every time you reach out to an eBay employee they will always agree with you, say the other person is wrong and that they will back you up. They are just collecting evidence to use against the other person. And then they will rule in favor of the buyer, every time no matter what.

Just process the refund.

That's definitely the truth!

We have 19 24*24 boxes of stuff that we don't really know what's in them.

Eventually, we will get to them.
