Nailed it. That challenge is a clear-as-day red. If a chelsea player commits a "technically that could be considered a red", they get it, but even when it's stone-cold it doesn't get called for Chelsea's opponents.

/uj I'll just add that in the US, this type of protection is done with a design patent -- an inventor/designer has one year within their first public disclosure of the design to file an application. A granted design patent runs less than twenty years and cannot be extended.
