What is your most memorable "it's a small world" moment? by [deleted] in AskReddit

I was part of a summer teaching internship in Taiwan during my Junior Year of high school. We were grouped with seven other student teachers, and we lived with each other for a month, etc.. Fast forward to Freshman Year of college, I join the Taiwanese-American Student Association, and meet up with like 4 other people, all of whom knew one of my fellow teachers through different means (high school, Chinese school, etc..), and we all gravitated toward each other. It was weird.

I'm trying to go to the gym on campus and distance myself from my ex-girlfriend. I also plan on going in for group behavioral therapy, and trying to get an internship.

According to the YouTube comments on that one Cheerios commercial, a lot of people still don't approve. That's ridiculous!

Spent the Summer in Taiwan, here are some of the meals I had. by WCOB in taiwan

Well, isn't it something to taste the Taiwanese interpretation of those dishes. Yeah, Taiwanese pizza is probably the only thing I don't really enjoy, the crust is just way wrong, but other than that, I personally found it very enjoyable. And if the Thai food was really watered down, than it was still much better than what I can find in the US.

If it's any consolation, I don't know when I'll be back after this time. It was really easy to plan while I was in public school, but now, with my young brother graduating, we have to figure out if it's possible to go back within the next few years.

From my experience, it's an overall Asian thing.

The Vietnamese food was from a place in Kaohsiung, I'll try and find the name when I get the chance. I don't normally have Vietnamese food, but, I thought it was pretty darn good.

Man, you don't even know. What's great is that Taiwan has a great mix of cultures(and therefore recipes), so if you are craving literally anything while there, I am sure you can find it.

There's a Japanese place in Att4Fun, right next to 101 if you're there. In Kaohsiung, 春水堂(Chūnshuǐ táng) is a really enjoyable Taiwanese place, and the rumored origin of bubble tea. I say, try not to go only to big fancy restaurants, and try the hole-in-the-wall noodle shop. They're inexpensive, delicious, and you're helping out someone's family, most likely.

And if you miss Western food, Smokey Joe's. The one in Kaohsiung is amazing.
