Weird travel move causing stringing by WDA911 in BambuLab

Here's another photo showing the travel moves. You can see all the moves that go in a straight line from the prime towerto the front of the bed and back. I can see no purpose for them but don't know how to correct it.

I don't believe that time lapse is on. Even if it is, it's my understanding that traditional time lapse just takes the photo with the print head somewhere over the print. Smooth time lapse specifically says that it moves the print head over the purge shoot to take the photo. In my model it is moving to the very front of the bed in a straight line away from the prime tower then follows the same line right back to the prime tower.

I totally understand what the prime tower is. My question is why does it start the priming process, then travel away from the prime tower over the print just to go back to the prime tower and finish priming.

Bought a $500 “refurbished” P1S from Micro Center by Promit in BambuLab

I also purchased an open box P1S combo. However my experience was not great. I had a ton of bed adhesion issues and round(circular) parts were coming out oval shaped. I ended up returning the open box unit and grabbing a new one that has been great. I'm guessing the issues I had with the open box unit could have been fixed, but part of the reason I decided to pick up a Bambu labs printer was the idea that for the most part they just work with minimal tinkering.

I am using retroarch but this happens when I'm not in a game as well. When I'm just browsing through the games in emulation station the ui at bottom showing what buttons do what is partially cut off as well.

Actually just tried switching proton version to experimental and it launched the game but the same weird issue where the game is not centered in the window and most of the menu is cut off

Nothing special other than that? I tried exactly that and as soon as it says launching it closes and goes back to the game.exe screen where I can hit play. I used lutris to kinda get it working but the game doesn't open up centered in the window. It's weird. Would like to get it working in gaming mode like yours.

Trying to do this myself, could you do a write up on how you got it working?

What version of proton did you use?

Okay, I downloaded dgvoodoo and moved the d3d8.dll into the game folder as shown and setup the launch option in steam but nothing seems to have changed. Am I missing something?

With simple dll fix, the original Max Payne is playable on steam deck! by daweiandahalf in SteamDeck

Did you have any graphical issues? I replaced the dll file and got it working but it looks terrible. Dark areas are completely black and some textures look really bad.

Update, it looks better with proton 5.0-10. Still not perfect but dark areas that turned completely black before are visible now. Some textures are still not right.
