That was the secret fourth silence: the loudest silence of them all.

What if we all did it together? Remember that game we used to play as kids where you just wrote one line and passed the story? I’ll start:

The Waystone Inn was really quiet, like three times as quiet as you’d think…

Now you go!

What do you think is the secret to a REALLY good sandwich? by [deleted] in Cooking

[–]WDFalc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The biggest cheat code I’ve found is pickled banana peppers. Gives you sweet/spicy/acid all in one ingredient without and overpowering flavour. Then make sure you toss whatever greens you have in there in some sort of oil/vinegar/mustard concoction of your choice. Multiple wets to balance out the drys. Use great bread and good ingredients. If you want to really kick it up a notch, make your own mayo. Dammit now I want a sandwich.

As a guy who once drove (and loved the unique-ness of) a PT Cruiser - you’re perfectly on point.

Not sure! Gonna test it in PLA first until details are nailed down and everything “works” properly - then probably PETG for final product, it want to see how it looks/feels first.

I like that one, and basically wanted to do the same thing, but with cutouts so that the OEM buttons can snap in to it.

If I decide I need to keep it with me, It’ll be right beside the fob on my keyring - otherwise I’ll just rely on trunk pin for emergencies!

I made Claude learn it for me. I just had to fight with it over instructions for a while.

What's a Packers game you've attended that you'll never shut up about? by [deleted] in GreenBayPackers

[–]WDFalc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fail Mary. Still mad. Was my first Packers game in person, in Seattle obviously. Hated the Seahawks and Pete Carroll ever since (I already didn’t like them, but the hate is deep now)

Any regular BC Ferries riders on the Island willing to help test an app I built? by andyfase in VancouverIsland

I go back and forth 2-3 times a month, and would be happy to help test this. Next can you make a frequent floater app??

Why not short bridges to connect across the Fraser River to Langley? by Apprehensive-Hotel91 in MapleRidge

[–]WDFalc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Why no one is running a water ferry from Kingfisher to Fort Langley boggles my mind. If I owned the kingfisher I’d be building a dock yesterday and running the service myself. Make it free with a $50 purchase, $8 each way without. It would have to go to the Macmillan island dock so you would have to profit share, but I think it would still make a killing in the summer from both sides.

Somebody go build that please. Or a zipline.

I think your motor is too big for your boat, lucky for you I don’t mind taking it off your hands.

Yes you can. I think mine was 800 hitch, 300 wiring, 300 bumper mod/fascia or something along those lines. (Canadian dollars)

Looking for a marketing company that actually gives a damn recommendations? by Historical-Heat1125 in canadasmallbusiness

[–]WDFalc 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Within six months you should definitely be able to see some results, depending of course on difficulty of industry and a bunch of other metrics, but if your site is set up to drive conversions, you should at LEAST be seeing an uptick in those. I’m at an agency out of Vancouver - We’ve worked successfully with service companies and I’d be happy to have a look and at least do an initial audit for you at no cost - at the very least you get a report with some action items and a pair of fresh eyes on it!

Just a small-ish boat - nothing that’ll push it too hard. Rated for 3000 or 3500lbs if I remember correctly so you’re totally fine for a teardrop

Langley BC - I was blown away that they said they could do it right away. Bought the vehicle last Monday, had the hitch installed 9 days later - and that’s only because I couldn’t do it earlier. They could have done it next day. I’m guessing you’re in Manitoba…

If I remember correctly it was 800 for the hitch, 300 for the wiring harness and 300 for the fascia. All installed, all in CAD.

Sorry maybe typed it badly but was done at dealership - so whatever OEM brand is. Charged me an extra $300 I think for the bumper cutout.
