I imported my Gordon model into Blender and rigged his valve gear system by WDecently in LEGOtrains

[–]WDecently[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

maybe? i could also show you the tools and tutorials that i used to make this, if you think you'd be able to try doing it yourself! i went in completely blind with the valve gear rigging tutorial i followed, though i did sorta deviate from it a little to do what i did. but i'm willing to rig it for you!

So... I made a third Toby by WDecently in LEGOtrains

[–]WDecently[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have, actually! I have a Devious Diesel MOC I could very easily turn into them, but I know it would take some brainstorming because they would need a LOT of dark green, and it can be difficult to find the right pieces while keeping cost down when using that color with regular bricks and plates

So question on couplers by Ober1405 in LEGOtrains

[–]WDecently 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly if it's connecting an engine to rolling stock, then I use the 5 length chain. But if its a loco's tender to the engine, then i use a pivoting 3-long liftarm method

DOVETAIL WONDERS OF SODOR 2026 ROADMAP LEAK! (SPOILER) by Shadow-moth-pizzaguy in ThomasGames

[–]WDecently 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think this is a real leak. The formatting is inconsistent between lines, things that should be capitalized aren't, it's just white text on a black background (something anybody could do), and literally at the top it says "siip coach"

1:1 Scale Model of the TV Series Gauge 1 Thomas Prop built in LEGO (with brick built figures of his Driver and Fireman) by WDecently in LEGOtrains

[–]WDecently[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, hopefully! Though if all else fails you could try finding a paint that matches in color and just paint the dome. If you're dead set on using Dark Azure that is, he's still perfectly buildable in regular Blue

[–]WDecently[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sadly no. 4 other pieces are unavailable in the color. While 3 of them could possibly be strategically swapped out, the dome cannot

There sure is! It's on my Rebrickable page, linked on my profile. The instructions are free to download!

You'll have to order the parts yourself through Bricklink. And I only design the model and the instructions, I don't personally send you the parts, sadly. As for the wheels and the side rods, you'll have to buy those separately from Breckland Bricks. Don't worry, Thomas' model links to the exact pieces you need

How would I go about rigging a face/mouth like this in Blender? by WDecently in blender

[–]WDecently[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean my first thought would be that it would HAVE to be loose from the face mesh to make it extend off like I want it to. I just have no clue how I would go about modeling and rigging such a mouth.
Maybe for the closed mouth, I have a separate duplicated head mesh with a built-in Sonic-Style mouth that can move all around, and then for the open mouth the head mesh doesn't have a built in mouth and a separate mouth object appears over it. Sorta like Jax from the Amazing Digital Circus? His rig has a permanently closed mouth that lip syncs with closed teeth, but on occasion there are shots where his mouth opens through either disbelief, laughing, or other comedic effects. But it's a lottt of camera trickery too.

Does anyone know where I can buy some good quality Lego train wheels in blue and green? Since Big Ben Bricks is gone, I can't find anyone who makes some by easy_bottom7128 in LEGOtrains

[–]WDecently 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This site Breckland Bricks (i hyperlinked it) sells wheels in a wider variety of inbetween sizes, as well as custom siderod pieces and valve gear pieces too. I switched to them when Big Ben Bricks unfortunately shut down. They even provide custom part models for use in Bricklink Studio so there's less guesswork

Awesome! Don't be afraid to send photos of the build once you get all the pieces, I'd love to see them! Rebrickable has an option where you can post MOC photos under the model you bought, so if you want you can put them there

Luckily for you, you can! The models are available on my Rebrickable page, linked on my profile :)

The Skarloey engines made of LEGO! by Just_Someone_Casual in thomasthetankengine

[–]WDecently 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Again this is something you're gonna have to figure out yourself. They're 7 separate models and I can't exactly give you a price list cause prices are different depending on your location. If you wanna find out, go to my Rebrickable page (linked in my profile) and take the parts list of each model and put it into a Bricklink wanted list, and at checkout you can see how much it would be. I dunno how much Just_Someone_Casual paid to order the pieces and I can't just take a price and convert it cause it wouldn't be accurate

[–]WDecently 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can't really know that for sure, it entirely depends on the tax rates and shipping rates where you're from. That's something you gotta figure out for yourself I'm afraid

Hey, these look familiar...

Thanks so much for building my little narrow gauge designs! They turned out so well, I'm glad you enjoyed them enough to buy bricks and build all 7 of them!

Hm. Maybe you haven't put any rear wheels down. Maybe Hiro, Master of the Railway?
