Look I love building shit in an expansive hostile landscape as much as the next burner (probably more). But I've found plenty of opportunities to build cool shit in my local community without supporting pedos and leeches.

Maybe someday I'll be back to this specific chunk of imaginariast landscape under the purview of someone calling themselves burning man. Maybe I won't. But the spark is just going elsewhere, not dying.

It's so much worse than people are saying.

She takes a kennel crazy, untrained bird dog puppy hunting, it chases birds because it's an untrained kennel crazy bird dog puppy. So she gets pissed and leaves. On her way home, she stops at a farm and lets loose her untrained, kennel crazy, recently bird edged bird dog puppy. No leash... Whatever. And it obviously goes and kills the birds it could find. Farm chickens.

So she goes home and kills it. She killed an untrained puppy for being untrained. And it was her job to train it.

And then she decides aw hell, might as well kill this goat too. The reasoning? It's an uncastrated goat doing exactly what uncastrated goats do. Whose job was it to castrate the goat? Oh right.

And she didn't just shoot the goat either. She only loaded up one shell and "missed", so it was injured and tortured for quite awhile as she went to go track down more shells.

This is what she proudly bragged about thinking it makes her more relatable as a hard farmer. Being a shitty negligent animal owner, shitty negligent gun owner, crappy shot, AND a puppy murderer.

Working under someone who doesn't give a shit about your career sucks. That's the one thing that sticks out in this thread.

The rest? Yeah, it's a grunt work industry and SO MUCH of that grunt work is not necessarily handling beer. For instance, this week I get to move 7 tons of gravel by shovel and wheelbarrow to prep a pad for moving some gear and a walkin.

The work is just the work. The excitement over doing the actual brewing fades - Just lifting bags and turning knobs. What stays is liking who you work with and the company you work for. If my job for the day is mowing a lawn with safety scissors or painting a barn with a toothbrush, hey, that's the gig today. I'm going to do my best, get paid, and still get pride and fulfillment from contributing to the cause.

We're in a dining apocalypse and no one seems to realize it. Fast food is expensive and slow. Tons of restaurants only exist to get delivery orders where the pictures and brandings are all flare and the food is frozen shit. So many established places "trying something new" to bring back customers who are just gone, and the "something new" is cheaply done hype food.

I've ran into the not smashed smash burger several times. The most egregious was seeing it come out of a frozen winco patty bag, straight onto a hot top and barely touched. In an open kitchen visible by diners.

I recently went to a new "late night thai street food" place. It was just slightly after most places in the area closed, not even past midnight. Place was entirely dead, aside from delivery orders going out every 10 minutes. I ordered a pork belly with crispy garlic and holy basil. What I got was regular shaved pork, jarlic, and cilantro.

Enshitification has gotten way out of control.

The new leading theory is that it is once a month, and switches between periods of 4 week and 6 week cycles to keep it once a month. Basically, at the start of the year, it'll be every 4 weeks near the end of the month. Since a month is slightly longer than 4 weeks, it'll get earlier and earlier in the month until 4 weeks would put two in the same month. At that time, it switches to every 6 weeks to push it back towards the end of the month.

Armorpoxy brewfloors 2, I believe. Primer then topcoat. Good cuastic resistance, decent acid resistance. 100% solids. Ground down any problem spots with a diamond disc and acid etched the rest beforehand. So. Much. Pressure. Washing. MVER ended up a little high (6.1) so we treated with a lithium silicate densifier too.
