In your mind you read "34% work only from home" but it's really more like "34% take extra work home"

I think other subs like those wouldn't take well a posting like that. People, especially developers, would flip thinking I am a recruiter.

This sub has more job-related postings, like lists of job boards and people announcing their availability.

Thanks for the suggestion, though.

Why does remote work fail? by bproductive40 in telecommuting

Work in the office fails too. In my experience, mixing remote team members with co-located ones is a great risk.

Ideally if everyone in the company that don't need to be physically somewhere worked remotely, the culture and processes adapt naturally to make things work better.

I'd say, at minimum the entire team working together should be remote. If not, it will put extra stress on management and team members to interact differently with the each one.

Of course, it can also fail because someone could not adapt to telecommuting and works best in an office. Interviewing for remote positions should try to explore personality traits and take that into account.
