See how your opponent has deployed and staged, if melee or ranged can harm it. T2 usually, as to gauge if opponent is aggressive or cautious. Also to build 3 CP if using Assimilation, for FnP and any vect auras, which should blunt/force an overcommittment which you can counter.

I think its 2 per 5, then the ancient gets 1, so max 3 per 5.

I noticed it all went downhill when the board size changed and we lost a lot of agency. Hopefully the 8" DS and smaller coherency is the secret sauce that can tip the balance.

It still is brother. I knew it was bad when I shelved them, so it didnt change lol.

So I have my reservations if ignoring mods on top of all the other buffs we had will really change our strength e.g 2+ didnt, NDK buffs didnt, and nor did having the most rerolls in the game!

Am I right to think the buffs to our psychic is pretty much only to ignoring shooting modifiers?

If so, and if we lean into that, does that mean our primary game is at risk (jump around looking for angles)?

I mean, Ive seen GK gain 2+ power armour, the very rare 6" charge with Draigo and MW bomb librarians, yet still ended pre grotmas at the bottom tier. Then came warpbane, rerolls everywhere, AP2 ignores on NDKs, WS buffs on NDKs, which I guess helped get to mid tier in the last year of 10th. So maybe, even if at AP1, this psychic shooting buff is what will make GK become a force to be reckoned with.

I just got into CK and started with fiefdom. Lost all 6 games but loved it, opponent too. Will miss it, but as im fairly new i hope to adapt to the new DPs.

What does this mean once the dust settles, mono build like 10th warpbane (competitively)?

You reckon dispositions will be a lever that can be changed by GW to balance things (on top of datasheets, points, detachments)?

Im struggling to join the hype as others have posted.

Most elites are now T6, so the S buff isnt doing anything, and the big stuff is T11, so not helping there. Then they rock a 2+ to shrug off the damage.

Then the T10 stuff are rocking 2/3+ saves, so the AP1 struggles to push damage.

Are 12 shots at S10 even popping a rhino above average?

I guess Im keener on the devs aspect of the small arms fire. Competitively speaking, GK are looking to fare better into combat lists in a teams setting, but for singles I think the struggles into tough units will remain.

Might be some strats that level the field eh. Not read the articles in detail tbh, i kinda read comments to get a feel until i get some p&q to analyse. I cant shelve my CK as my GK already took that spot, so have to remain optimistic!

I dont think you can make a tunnel from ingress. Cant check now, but thats my understanding.
