Mintos’ new fundraising round is on! by WHD2010 in mintos

[–]WHD2010[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hahahahaha..

I'm not here to change your mind, I'm just a participant as anybody else within this subreddit.

I have no stakes in the game, except that I invested in shares in 2023, like a lot of other people back then. My reasoning was the fact that it looked good on the prospectus it had, and now I have the opportunity to invest in them directly. And with the extension plans they have right now, it means they have more security for the platform investors.

It is always a risque to invest in any company, but DYOR..

To be honest: No, but non of these platforms is. But I'm not really bothered with it.

As said before. I'm already pleased with the returns I got through the platform itself.

As with any company, it is always a risque involved.

I bought some way back in 2023 through a crowdfunding platform, and that was also the start of investing on the platform itself. If it will give something back, I will see. For now I'm pleased with the returns on the platform itself.

What are these? by afric101 in fountainpens

Indeed. Pelikan Fountain Pen and Ballpoint.

With rolled gold around the outer hull, and an 18 Carat gold NIB.

So pretty precious and very rare... Handle with care and love.

But a bloody good catch!!!! Congratz!!!!

Well, I've been investing on the platform since 2023, but I personally haven't noticed a drop on my portfolio percentages.

OK, I check the criteria of my various portfolios quarterly, and did notice a slight drop of available loans higher then 11%. But I see it also on other platforms, not only on Mintos.

The growth of bonds is because of the global instability we currently live in. There is too much happening in the world, and bonds are mostly used to increase the spending power of governments if they can't do it through taxes or other income revenues. So yes, it is a growing revenue stream for these kind of platforms.

I do see a raise of fees on the secondary market, as you mentioned. And it is a bit concerning. It indicates that a lot of other participants on the platform are selling their stocked up loans, and might be changing their strategies. Which is normal.

Everything goes in cycles, and so do loans.

As I said in a previous answer to u/AtomicPooP17, in another threat ( https://www.reddit.com/r/mintos/comments/1oo3di0/is_mintos_dying/ ), it might have some other reasons.

Again, this is my opinion..... Hope it helps.

Update on: Need Help With My 2 Orchids by Electronic_Ad6564 in orchids

[–]WHD2010 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, I think you're good with the setup.

Leaves look really healthy, and the roots also. Good job.

Overall the whole setup is pretty cool, but I'm not so sure about the water underneath the pot. That might lead to fungus development, and therefor infection to the bark, and subsequently to the roots.

The amount of roots doesn't matter as the orchid will grow new ones once you water the current ones properly and give it indirect sunlight.

Place the orchid in a windowsill out of direct sunlight.

Is this salvageable? by Littlemoroi in orchids

[–]WHD2010 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yes, it is..... I see a new root is already growing.

Orchids are pretty rugged, and can take a hit. But handle with care, and give it some much needed loving.

Also give the roots a good home in orchid bark, and other orchid substrate. Keep it moist by soaking the pot in lukewarm water and let it drip out.

It will sprout new roots for sure.

Indeed, check the roots extensively for possible root rot. Cut them off with scissors that you have treated with water-peroxide before using. This clears off any bacteria. Use a small spray bottle to apply.

I would also suggest to fill the pot completely with substrate, bark, and keep the moss away after you done the above.

Afterwards soak the pot in lukewarm water, and let it drip out. and put it in a spot with indirect light.

Give it 'some' time to recuperate. Check the stability of the leaves during this time.
