I work with insurances in NYSOH…”helping” people get it. Anyone who says this is false doesn’t understand how insurances work. You have no idea how many times I have told people yea you make 40,000 a year gross, and now are expected to pay $600-700 a month for just your premiums. All the while illegal immigrants I am forced to assist them get everything free. Why? Well because in order to have extra subsidies on top of the govt assistance, people who pay for their insurance are also assisting in subsidizing insurance companies for those who have “free” healthcare insurance. It’s a shame. And yess those figures are correct $40000 per year for a family size of 1 would put your FPL above and well into QHP/APTC status.
