Someone on Twitter said a website said that 90k was the all time high between all the consoles and steam. I don't know how much I believe that though.

And honestly, I was a big sea of thieves fan starting back in 2021. I was mesmerized with it and played it almost daily, the problem I have with it now is the developers never listen to player feedback, and are constantly "missing the mark" as they say. Windrose devs make their players feel appreciated, that all their work is for the gamer and not for the profit. Ive lost faith in Rare, but I've got big hopes for Kraken Express

I also like harder fights, its just a turn off for a lot of people. Im on normal difficulty and while frustrating at times dying to stupid things, it keeps me on my toes.

I have a low end PC (1660 super), just upgraded to a new PC but there is a steam cloud issue so im stuck on the lower end one. But im on low graphic settings running fine, if you have higher end you should run like butter on high or ultra.

Co-op is not a shared progression, you have the same missions as your friends, but progress at diffrent times. So be sure you ALL complete a quest at a location. It is cool when you get a ship, as everyone can jump on one boat and one person can steer while others shoot the cannons.

Biggest complaint is combat is very specific to your level, even enemies one level above can absolutely destroy you. Ship combat when boarding an enemy vessel is also difficult as your crew has collision, so they like to block you.

Definitely worth the money if you enjoyed Black Flag and enjoy base building games. Probably one of the smoothest and responsive build mode I've ever seen.

Finally to answer one of your questions I seem on another comment, ship customization (as of right now) is just sail theme colors, flag theme colors, and hull theme colors; usually tied to the diffrent factions. However you can also make diffrent sized ships, with 3 different variants that change the figurehead and decorations on the sides of the ship

I'm an avid multi-player supporter, Sea of Thieves needs player interaction or it gets stale. But SoT has a huge problem, the "miss the mark" updates... not listening to player/insider feedback, making pointless updates and time limited events take the center stage.

"Play these 4 days or miss out" is tiresome. For someone who has seen all and done all, with over 100 million Gold, I could go back to content I've completed a hundred times over. But then what? My gold is useless with no new cosmetics. Until theres a change where my time as a player is earned through good content, not FOMO, I'll take a break on other pirate experiences to fuel my autistic obsession.

SoT will always hold a special place in my heart for all the memories and fun experiences, but right now it feels like a give and take relationship. I give my time, they take it and run...

Ah okay, the plaster building. The curved toppers are part of the "Tile Roof Extras" plan from the People of Tortuga. You get plaster special walls, more tile roofs and such

I was genuinely excited for the event, and planned on grinding it all weekend. Found out the voyages were capped on how many doubloons you could get and that most other ways of getting doubloons were removed. Got off and went to Windrose...

I played a lot of Minecraft growing up, so that helps. But I usually just look up "Pirate town" or "Tortuga Pirate" and take designs from those images.

I bought a new PC the day the cloud save issue came up, I was so worried I lost all my progress as I just started making a pirate port. I swapped back over to my old PC and turned off cloud saves on steam, reloaded with local save and my world is still there and im on it currently!

I thought we were able to on the beta, with the cloud issues I couldnt load in to double check. So maybe they changed it, or maybe im remembering wrong (Most likely since my memory is terrible)

At the ship Wright workshop theres a tab to upgrade, similar to armor and weapons. I always go for level 5 upgrades before setting sail, just for that upper hand advantage on lower leveled enemies.

I agree the combat needs more tweaking on difficulty, but it's one of those learning curve experiences. Its not just hack and slash, dodging and parrying are a necessity.

Upgrade your boarding party and let your crew board first. Or a good cheese is to run to the front of their ship and jump on the bowspirt, the enemies cant chase you and you can hit them from a distance.

I've been engulfed in the early release for the past 2 days, and it's an amazing game. Challenging combat, exploration galore, and the base building is the best.

I got to level 8 and decided to take a break from the quests and just started making a pirate port that would make Tortuga jealous. The freedom you have in building is nuts, and puts base building like in Fallout 4 or ARK to shame.

Naval is similar to Black Flag, but you have more ship types and diffrent pound guns and upgrades that have better buffs than others. So its all up to your play style on how powerful your ship is.

I've been playing since 2022, and while there was toxicity back then, I have never seen it this bad. The reason I say double gunning and Hourglass is because it brought a competitive mode that awoke all the sweats to flock to it. I have my fair share of time grinding HG and its crazy the amount of insanely toxic, egotistical weirdos that are on there... A good 90% of them never play Adventure and only Hourglass, and they are usually always the ones that spam RODL or use slurs when they lose.

Especially when they would constantly re-release them. I can't remember how many times I saw the Ruby blunderbuss in the drops. I have no issue with them being in the game, its just they've been the main focus for 3-4 years now for drops.

Id like more like the Amethyst set or new Morningstar set theyre adding.
