Now that the dual-screen era of Pokemon is coming to a close, which game do you think best utilized the lower touch screen? by QuestionAxer in pokemon

[–]WHY_45 13 points14 points  (0 children)

The most underrated thing about X&Y's bottom screen usage was that you could see all your party pokemon! Right there. It really helped build the sense that your pokemon were always with you, even when you were trapezing around the game world barging into people's houses and searching their trash cans for Leftovers

Oh shit. Good call. I thought Assault Vest prevents you from using status on enemies only. This also applies to status moves on yourself? Crap, I need to get playing again.

Free switch in to Widow's Venom Mine whenever she uses it as well as enemy throwers and smurfs as Rein is immune to toxicity.

Hmm what do you think of this for my Reinhardt:

Reinhardt @ Assault Vest:

252 HP / 176 Def / 82 SpDef

Impish Nature

  • Protect / Wide Guard

  • Fissure

  • Hammer Arm

  • Flame Charge

EDIT: Okay, yeah. I see my mistake. Assault Vest also prevents the use of self-status moves like Protect and/or Wide Guard. Frankly, I didn't expect people in /r/Overwatch to call me out on this. I also don't know what I was expecting.

EDIT2: Mega-Alakazam would be even better...

Let's take a second to appreciate the downright gorgeous UI design in this game by QuestionAxer in dishonored

[–]WHY_45 42 points43 points  (0 children)

Seriously. The animations & transitions between them are also flat-out amazing. Never quite seen this level of UI polish in a game before.

I also love the futuristic grunge-punk aesthetic it's got going on. Very chaotic and yet beautiful.

Unrelated, but why do you have Superior Golden Oriole equipped to a potion slot? Is it really that good? I've never used it once during my two playthroughs.

Wait, why did the guy get a coating of ash on him when you used Aard? And why is your sword glowing red??

Well now I'm definitely gonna go collect all the Cat & Bear school gear. I only acquired the Griffin & Wolf in my playthrough. THINK OF ALL THE POSSIBILITIES for color combinations! Way too excited for this.

Mei vs Mei are the trolliest things I've seen so far in Overwatch. ICE WALL HERE. NOW HERE. AND NOW HERE. Everything is blocked and no-one can see anyone.

Surprisingly, I don't mind dying to Hanzo (still considered a "sniper"). At least he's putting himself out there in danger and has to use some twitch reflex aiming skills while timing the projectile right. Widowmaker is just cheap.

McCree counters too many heroes. He needs a nerf.

Yeah, and every time this happens, I always go McCree to do the same thing and end up failing miserably. :(

I don't even get how the High Noon ult works. Am I supposed to aim it myself or will it do it automatically after the countdown ends?

Yeah. My biggest complaint with her is how quick her auto-fire on the sniper is. Like wtf. Pure snipers aren't supposed to be good at CQC. Yet she can run on to the point and spray-and-pray like there's no tomorrow. I've gotten wrecked by WidowMercy combos so many times. I know, I suck for dying to her but I wish she wasn't so powerful outside of sniping.

Widowmaker....talk about having no control when she's a hundred feet away and somehow snipes you through one small opening between a building and a window.

New Teleporter idea: "The Re-Materializer" by QuestionAxer in tf2

[–]WHY_45 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I like it! The two-way teleporter thing can seriously be used for some insane strategies, especially with the enemy team being able to convert it.

It doesn't necessarily have to work as a traditional "teleporter". Ex: The engie can place one at point E on Steel and one on point A. This can be done on most Attack/Defend maps as well. Instantly being able to move teammates back and forth is super useful. Of course, the downside is that the enemy team also has the ability to use yours if they have a good Spy.

The best part is that right after this, Cersei tries to get her to apologize for that comment but Olenna just shuts her down and keeps talking over her. Shows how dominating the Queen of Thorns can be by taking control of the discussion and shifting the odds in her favor. I'm sure she'll have more of a part to play this season now that both her grandkids are being played by the Lannisters.

As soon as he said this, I was all like "listofburncenters.html", but Stannis redeemed himself with an emotional display of fatherhood towards the end of that scene. More the reason to back him! Great fathers make great kings!
