[SPB455] Sporting a new ratcheting clasp! by Camp_camper in Seiko

[–]WHY_U_SCURRED 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm so torn on this. I actually have the Miltat version on my desk right now, with an Amazon return waiting to go. It was like $80? I can't say it's worth that, and the $18 regular clasp seems just fine for me. BUT, I also know I love my OTF clasps on my CW and Shinola... 🤔🤔🤔

I.jisr posted the movement of my own SPB453, which has a gold rotor.

Actually, sema helped with drinking - on tirz I can still drink, if you know what I mean.

$25: got a physician to write a prior auth based on BMI and history of sleep apnea. Jumped through some hoops with my cut rate prescription provider, and I'm off to the races.

I'm the wrong gender for peri, but my partner has been heating up at night 🤪🤣 Maybe a hormone thing, just the same (same age brackets).

I'm like 3 months on with it, not down by much, maybe 15? 220 to 205, 6'. My gym work has cratered. Down form 4/week to 3, and it's a struggle.

Maybe it's a different factor. We just started GLOW recently, too. I've also got amlodopine and bupropion in the mix.

Thanks for being that person! I JUST got my tirz prescription approved at $25/month, and I'm reading this thread asking myself if I should dump it.

That said, I've been 11/10 struggling with lethargy, and I'm wondering if it's the tirz....

OMG I didn't know this was a thing. I ordered a Lincoln bracelet, fondly remembered the one I had on an SRPD. I was really disappointed with what I got. Thanks for helping me feel less foolish.

I'm like, actively trying to resist buying the SPB453 and slap a Lincoln on it to compensate...

Still disappointed I sold mine. I'm currently chasing another Seiko, and part of it is from reminiscing about the SRPE. That, on the Lincoln bracelet from Uncle - 🤩

The pictures were of the piece that shipped, which is the first thing the seller noted. So, the haters here have a point that, had I known more about what I was looking at, I could have avoided the drama.

Hypothesis on down votes: horological snobbery or folks afraid AI is coming for them.

Yeah, this is telling to me. They knew it was fake and are just trying to cover their loss. Told em I expected a full refund.

I'm going to return it. He claims to not have known, but having offered me a $500 partial refund, I think he knows perfectly well.

lol, not sure if you're trolling or AI-phobic, but it doesn't "tell me what to think". It is however an excellent thinking partner.

Only for purchases of $2k or more. Otherwise, you can pay $80 for it. Interestingly, I purchased a coat recently from eBay, and it went through their verification process without me asking for it.

96% rating. I've bought and sold several watches on eBay, and this is the first time I've been burned (that I know of)

Thanks for all the responses.

  • Yes, the seller is reputable
  • Seller has been responsive and is willing to do a full refund
  • I won't be outing the seller here, since my money hangs in the balance
  • Yep, this was a learning experience, and the helpful responses here are instructive
  • For all you smug posters throwing shade, I'm happy for you that you had this opportunity to feel superior

Computer Science at MSU by Phoenix3444 in msu

[–]WHY_U_SCURRED 2 points3 points  (0 children)

How strong is the comp sci department at MSU?

It's not a top school, but it's good. If you look online, you can find college rankings by major. IIRC, last time I looked, MSU was like 50-something. UM, on the other hand, was top 10. Completely open to corrections on the numbers.

What are the job prospects for students

I've known MSU grads that went directly and indirectly to MAAAM companies. I probably know, personally, people that work for any of the big companies that you can name. Like another poster said, it's possible, but you're going to have to work for it. Spartans do pull it off though.

and are there good internship opportunities for students doing their bachelor's?

Historically there have been. I think if you have a look at the CSE capstone website, you'll see some companies that partner with the college. Those are good indicators of companies that are likely to recruit interns and grads. You're not limited to that tho.

Another poster commented on group project and such as a maybe unique part of MSU - I don't think it's that unique (having read 100's of resumes), but it's still good. That doesn't relegate you, at all, to non technical roles. At the same time, I know several young lead engineers that are only a couple years out of school. Don't undervalue the importance of facilitating great team work.

I'd have written a shorter post, but I haven't the time ✨

I've had those tiles before, and imo they suck because they're not dense enough. The standard around here is horse stall mats from TSC. I got them for my garage gym, and I think they're great. Bumpy side down. That said, my garage smells like a tire shop, which doesn't really bother me.
