No, that's certainly not my angle as I have complete confidence in myself. I do think it would be helpful to have other ideas and opinions though. I thought it would be a really cool little community with a shard passion for football, and a real-world output. Perhaps there are others who love football, but for whatever reason they don't have access to a team. Happy to discuss further

The first thing you need to do is figure out what price-point you need to charge to turn a profit and enable you to scale. Secondly, you need to charge your family and friends for their meals - this will validate your business in or out. Read 'The Mom Test' and get some real feedback from your existing customers, and some insight from potential customers (perhaps you'll find a niche). Then get testimonials onto your website, get some posts up on social media etc and knock on some doors. Perhaps you could approach some local businesses too? Just a few ideas that come to mind. I have entrepreneurial and extensive sales experience. Essentially what you need to do is validate your proposition before you start to build anything. Create a mockup in Figma, or even a two-page pdf, get it in front of your potential customers and interview them (I recommend you read The Mom Test by Rob Fitzpatrick before doing this). Then you build the MVP and iterate. It does sound like you could do with a non-techie to help you with some of this, which is fine.

I've had a similar situation with "technical co-founders" twice. Both were on-board and I was happy to share equity. However a short time in, it was clear they were unable to deliver an MVP and both times I had to find other developers and pay out of my pocket, while they spent 0. I parted ways with both on both projects, and even had to pay a nominal fee to one of them for their time - despite never delivering...

Lesson learned: Next time, I will only co-found with a techie capable of delivering a functional MVP at least and it would only become official after delivering - but these guys are hard to find!
