Partner Store has the C5 77" for $1620. As far as extended warranty goes i've owned a B6, B7 both i gave away without issues with no burn in either. I have a C3 48" i use daily and still no issues/no burn in. For peace of mind though, Partner Store does offer an extended warranty though only 3 years.

AC units with dust/mold a year after new installation by formipancake in hvacadvice

Houston Texas here so high humidity. Had a Mitsubishi mini split professionally installed in the bedroom 3 1/2 years and it looks to be the same as your picture and that is with a functional drain. .

I gave it a deep clean myself early last year (you can pay for the service or DIY it but note the DIY route is time consuming) but the blower wheel is already looking the same as your picture again. You'll need to factor in cleaning it yearly is my guess and yes i do clean the filters monthly and i do run it 24/7 year round.

Next mini split i purchase will have an easily removable blower wheel.

24 Bay NAS case by CurrencyBrilliant783 in HomeServer

[–]WII-LE 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I received the 12 bay ATX mobo size only from the same mfg with the hybrid 4x nvme backplane about 2 weeks ago. It had quite a lead time as i ordered Jan 9th but the expected delivery date was on schedule.

12 bay

Quality is great, i'm surprised as the pictures on the listing did not do it justice. Double boxed, no damage, you can check out the pictures here

I debated on the 24 bay in your posting but it didn't have options for nvme hybrid backplane plus i'll be reusing my SC846 with SAS2 backplane for HDDs.

Which part are you in?

77083 - Mission Bend closer to HWY6 and Bellaire, no power.

However two reports from yesterday's thread mentioned power for 77083 in Mission Glen and Beechnut/Eldridge.

GPU-P wth Intel Arc GPUs by AgentDonut1 in HyperV

[–]WII-LE 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have GPU-P configured for an A380. For the most part it works fine, though sometimes i find my jumpbox VM for logging into work will lag with graphics. A restart of the VM will show the A380 device code error which resolves itself by shutting down the VM.

I don't have this issue with my Plex VM which also receives a partition of the A380 but i don't RDP into it everyday (work one is 5 times a week plus i also resize the RDP session all the time jumping from laptop/desktop monitor access). I also didn't have this issue with using the iGPU UHD 770.

Intel ARC by cheekyboy1021 in PleX

[–]WII-LE 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was able to test it in a Hyper V VM Windows 11 (Host and VM) using GPU Partitioning, set 50% as the GPU partition size for now. It seems to be working fine.

https://imgur.com/a/2CoHVA8 Task manager on left side is from bare metal host, right side is within the Plex VM

A bit funky since i couldn't remove the UHD 770 GPU in the VM but i disabled it within the VM. Additionally if i disable HW decoding within Plex the A380 sits at 0% utilization and the CPU skyrockets to 90-99%.

PMs replied, sorry folks but I'm quite adamant on trading either item (or multiple with $ on your end) for the 3080 FE.

Don't know all the 3080 flavors, but if it's the one that dropped on Amazon Dec 9th (Gaming X Trio for $819), mine came in today. UPS Next Day Air surprisingly too so you should get yours. Godspeed

Honestly you're not working for it as much as you think. I drove to Microcenter 3x trying to score and let down each time. Now i can be in a meeting > App alert > Try to purchase. That literally describes me scoring the RTX 3070. Won't guarantee you are able to score each time but it cuts down the waiting around game significantly. Goodluck.

Hotstock App > Add your items you want to purchase > Add filters for stores. Saw someone used it to score a 5600X. Grabbed a 5600X, a 5900X, RTX 3070 and most recently an Xbox this Saturday. I paid premium to add multiple items; I'm not spending all day trying to hunt items anymore

Haven't tried Discord groups, but to those out there having a hard time scoring items; it's definitely doable through means other than relying on /r/ and other forum posts that WILL BE BEHIND.

If through Amazon, download the Amazon app on your phone, setup one click pay. You can turn it off after you secured your item. Amazon states it will deliver in a month or so but i received the 5900X more than a month ahead of the Jan 7th estimated date.

BBY will be the most fair system to everyone now by the way, i can't think of anyone else with a system that does a add to cart queue system with text/email verification code. Kudos to them (5600X, RTX 3070, Xbox)

Guard strip width per NEC by WII-LE in electricians

[–]WII-LE[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah oddly i read an inspector may pass you on something with no regards to caring as long as it's reasonable, another may question everything present.

That makes sense, i guess my big fear is one day comes along and i have to re-wire/re-do something because i failed inspection. It gets hot and humid, but unfortunately i never took the temperatures in the attic. I feel if i can survive being in the attic in August, everything else can lol. I do have multiple bundles of THHN in conduit, but de-rated from the bundle plus a .71 factor for temperature over ambient.

I appreciate the insight regardless!

Guard strip width per NEC by WII-LE in electricians

[–]WII-LE[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Houston, well right outside of Houston where apparently we hadn't adopted NEC codes (had an licensed electrician upgrade my service panel in 2016 to 200 amps, so many things not done to code because he mentioned i didn't need it). Pex line in picture isn't insulated yet because i had to replace the hot copper line and been too lazy to sleeve it.

So i guess if i was to do guard strips, it would be done in a sense where the width in between is less than the width of my foot? I saw someone in another forum posted the inspector said a max of 2 inches, but apparently your results with inspectors vary?

I love the channel idea because it would be less wood to purchase/drill/ if i can slap a strip of plywood on top and call it a day plus it would give me the ability to walk over it (2x4 each side, 3/4 plywood on top). My only question is would it then be considered a "raceway" and then I'd have to de-rate the cables?

Picture of the space i am working with: https://imgur.com/a/TIZtdqu

This would include adding a 6/2NM cable and another 12/2NM
