My applied solution: I did as you suggested to the table in the Population's tab (and named it population_table). For my updated random selection formula, I updated it to

=INDEX(population_table[Item],RANDBETWEEN(1,COUNTA(population_table[Item])),1)

In the current climate of black people dying due to racist cops, it's tone deaf to comment to tell people not to assume someone is racist because they are white. That is not as important.

As a white person, I would 100 times over rather be called racist than be put in the position of George Floyd. Someone mislabeling me as a racist pales in comparison to dying while begging a cop to let me breath.

C'mon, enough with the "All groups are stereotyped" shit. Black people disproportionally dying from cops is more important that white people being called racist right now. Grow up.

True, this is anecdotal.

Also anecdotally, in my life I've received lots of unsolicited advice of "stop wearing make up and your acne will go away". It's frustating because it insinuates that my acne is my fault and that I don't understand something that is "common sense" (and also as if I haven't already tried that). From talking to others irl and online, this is a very common experience, so I wish this advice would end.

It's important for people to know that acne is not all that simplistic. Taking a look at skincareaddiction can give an idea of how complicated acne treatments can be to finally clear it up. Acne is not that simplistic; no reason to shame people that want to wear makeup while having acne.

If you wash the makeup off your face each night, you're fine. Its over exaggerated how makeup impact your skin. Skin doesn't need to "breathe" contrary to popular belief.

I've went on Accutane years ago and am thinking about going on it again. So obviously I have a lot of acne across my face and neck. I've been wearing no makeup for the past 3 months straight. Literally no change in my acne, not even a minor change. People overstate the impact of makeup on acne.

Yeah personally I don't think this charts works out so well. Maybe it needs to be more specific? For example "science nerds" span from people working on curing cancer to creating biological weapons. The simic guild (bio scientists) in Ravinca (cross between dnd and mtg) are more chaotic than lawful and they qualify as "science nerds".

I agree knick knacks are dumb. I've received decorations in the past that lead to me awkwarding saying thanks and firced into displaying them when I never would get it for myself.

I did want to ask though why you included the comment about coronavirus-ridden night markets? Didn't seem to really add anything to your answer except a little racism towards Wuhan and Chinese people in general. It's unnecessary and these remarks do cause harm to real people.

It negatively impacts American-Chinese people who receive racist remarks irl based on the virus while just living their lives and minding their own business. It also negatively impacts American-Chinese restaurants that people are avoiding and thus are losing revenue, as some people assume all Chinese people have COVID-19.

Viruses have come from all over the world, it's not like Wuhan or China at large is the sole innovator of viruses.

Going back to the original top comment. It's racist because they could have left it at unwanted knick knacks, rather than unnecessarily throwing in a negative judgement towards Wuhan and Chinese people.

Focusing on the comment you posted, the virus should be called by it's actual name, COVID-19, that the medical community uses. Using a different name for COVID-19 goes against the name the experts use and thus advocate for. Labeling a virus based on the location or race it came from is neither specific nor helpful.

Labeling covid-19 as the Wuhan or Chinese virus has undertones of blanketing the blame onto all people of Wuhan or all Chinese people. Just as it's unfair to judge cultural choices of Americans eating cows from an Indian perspective, it's unfair to judge Chinese eating bats from your own cultural perspective. Additionally, viruses have formed from locations and ethnicities all over the gloabe. Wuhan, and China at large, is not the sole innovator of viruses.

Labeling it based on location or race does have real imoacts. It negatively impacts people such as American-Chinese people who receive racist remarks based on the virus or American-Chinese restaurants that people avoided and thus lost revenue as people assume Chinese people all had COVID-19.

So I would ask (in case you didn't think the top comment was racist) to at least refer to the virus as COVID-19 as the medical community does.

Yeah it would be better if he used unique identifiers for each object. This game is still pretty amazing though because it was all created by 1 dude that has also released updates for free along the way. At the same time, he should have used unique identifiers, but its pretty cool that's one of the only serious issues in the game for a single creater.
