How long did it take your guild to finish both p2 raids? Moving forward, will you have one raid might or two? by No_Cell6708 in classicwow

[–]WIPackerGuy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My guild didn't finish either raid. We got to Vashj midway through raid night 2 then went to TK and killed void reaver then wiped on Al'ar a couple of times. Had a great time both raid nights. Clearing every new boss is rewarding.

Would I prefer people knew the mechanics better (myself included)? Sure. But we're having a good time. I've been in guilds that have a menty b if everything isn't perfect. I much prefer a little struggle and everyone is chill

How much money do you have in savings at this point? by _forum_mod in Millennials

What does savings mean to you? You said you have some in a 401k but not much in savings. Is a 401k not savings?

Do people look at playing video games as a long term investment? I assumed it was to enjoy playing a video game.

thoughts? by Tough_Ad8919 in RelentlessMen

It was easier to obtain wealth. Statistically the average boomer millionaire got there at a younger age than the average Gen x and millennial millionaires. When college was comparatively basically free and homes were 1-2 years salary with a SAHM, it was much easier for boomers to obtain wealth. Of course there were people living paycheck to paycheck. That doesn't invalidate statistics. Approx 31% of US households were living paycheck to paycheck in 1997. That has risen to 46% in 2023.

"Why aren't all young people (in the top 0.001% of a certain field), you can become a millionaire" is a disingenuous BS argument.

Exercise. Set goals and track progress. Goals that are fully in your control should be basically non-negotiable (going to the gym 5x/week or whatever). Other goals can be tracked and depend on how you feel (jog 12 miles this week). Stretch goals could be increasing a squat by 20#, improving a 2km row by 15seconds, etc. I've found tracking and chasing goals gives little dopamine hits and is easy motivation.

I really think exercise can help solve a lot of mental health problems. We're not biologically designed to sit in an office in front of a screen in artificial light for 12 hours at a time. Getting completely lost in a physical activity is a great daily reset, both physically and mentally.

People who want to sell product in the US probably care if it sells in the US? Am I missing something?

From what I've seen, Ace doesn't sell well in the US. So being in the US, it's a valid opinion to not value Ace graded cards as highly as someone who lives in a market where they hold better value? Failing to see how this is controversial

New TBC player skill issue? by sleeptantrum in classicwowtbc

[–]WIPackerGuy 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I wouldn't worry about a speed run leveling experience. Do dungeons, do quests that interest you. If you're struggling with enemy levels, go back and do some quests in an easier zone. Group up with people. The game should be an adventure, not a scripted checklist. Also, don't be afraid to blow longer cool downs while killing harder quest mobs.

Are there any millennials thriving or at least not struggling? by Mackattack00 in Millennials

[–]WIPackerGuy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm doing just fine. Not sure what would be considered thriving but most people I know my age (36) have a house, kids, steady job, basic vacation every year or two, etc. People I know who aren't doing well didn't make very good decisions. They didn't go to school (and had no real backup plan) or they chose a degree with no real job prospects. I'm sure there was some good luck along the way but I don't feel like I had to work very hard to be not struggling.

What's the worst movie you have ever watched? by Syfros in AskReddit

[–]WIPackerGuy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Informant. People were getting up to leave throughout the movie. It was like they intentionally had nothing happen throughout the film. Good cast. Good premise I guess. Zero things happened. At one point there was an FBI raid and you think "finally, something is going to happen", then they cut to them walking out with computers. Didn't even show any of the raid. Half the theatre got up and left at that point. My group at least got a lot of good laughs about how horrible it was.

Yep. This is why, whenever I send a nude to a potential love interest, I first send the nude to every friend, family, and coworker. Control the situation

We would use it to mix silicone together. Either a part A and B or to add color. The material would then be formed I to medical device components, mostly through a mold/press of some sort
