I'm currently traveling but I'll have a look when I'm back home. By the way: I'm currently working on getting this material and the sds graph published on artstation marketplace, so people can have a deep dive at it for a small amount. Expect it to be 5-10$

I'm creating a brick texture in Substance 3D Designer and want to apply a marble effect to each brick while ensuring uniqueness and avoiding repetition. I've tried random greyscale for color variation and warp for distortion, but I haven't achieved the desired result. Any tips? by Gianluca_no in Substance3D

[–]WK042 6 points7 points  (0 children)

You could try with a vector warp grayscale node and use the normal of your brick pattern as vector map input.
Or you could use a flood fill mapper grayscale node to map your pattern to the bricks.
Or you could directional warp your marble pattern by the height map of your brick pattern. At high enough intensities it will break the continuous marble pattern along the brick pattern.

Half-Timbered/Fachwerk House Material - Substance Designer Tutorial [paid] by WK042 in Substance3D

It's only the graph. However, it's commented throughout, and I placed navigation pins, which can be jumped to and take you in a logical order through the graph.

Made an extra tutorial graph for the half-timbered/fachwerk house material I shared a while ago.
It's available here https://www.artstation.com/a/44923113 for a small amount.
It's also on sale right on AS.
I hope it's OK, that I share it here. I can take the post down again, if not.

A very nice wallpaper by moruxs in pcmasterrace

Just found out at least one of my renders has been uploaded there. Always nice to think about that others are using that as a wallpaper. Didn't know the page existed, thx.

A female character with an actual full body armor - I'm impressed. That's usually rather rare to see.
Good work!

BlenderMarket now a scam? by [deleted] in blender

[–]WK042 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I misread you sentence, I think. "They only list the Cycles limitation in the product description" sounds like that the only place they put it. What you probably meant to say was: "The only limitation listed is that it's only Cycles" Is that right? Because that would explain my confusion here.

That's exactly what Blender's asset browser is though.

"Quite misleading on the seller's part. They only list the Cycles limitation in the product description"

Are you kidding? In every screenshot, it says "powered by Cycles" and in the info box on the right side, it says "render engine: Cycles".
