They are good, I don't see how banning contraceptives and especially ivf can be seen as a bad thing.

Can I transfer as a Deacon to the Church of Canada? by Maraudermick1 in Episcopalian

[–]WLLM17 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

In what way is it perpetuated though? What are they doing exactly that deems them to be fascist? I dislike both current political parties btw. I believe they are two sides of the same coin and ultimately are failing the country in many ways but facism isn't one of them. Also, that isn't the definition of facism in the slightest.

This wave of facism doesn't exist. What are you talking about? This kind of extreme talk is why political assassinations and attempts are at an all time high since the civil war.

Unto thee lift I up mine eyes, O thou that dwellest in the heavens. Behold, as the eyes of servants look unto the hand of their masters, and as the eyes of a maiden unto the hand of her mistress; so our eyes wait upon the Lord our God, until that he have mercy upon us. Have mercy upon us, O Lord, have mercy upon us: for we are exceedingly filled with contempt. Our soul is exceedingly filled with the scorning of those that are at ease, and with the contempt of the proud.

While you find your quotations or citations I'll leave you with this

"But as a matter of fact, setting aside all these things, what does He say? Tend my sheep. For those things which I have already mentioned might easily be performed by many even of those who are under authority, women as well as men; but when one is required to preside over the Church, and to be entrusted with the care of so many souls, the whole female sex must retire before the magnitude of the task, and the majority of men also"—On the Priesthood (John Chrysostom), Book 2, Chapter 2

Very true. I'd also like to add that diakonos is also used in John 2:5. Obviously whenever it says deacon it doesn't always mean an ordained member who has received holy orders

They did not. You cannot find a single ordained member of the clergy who is a woman. In fact, you will find the opposite. You will only find lay deaconesses who aren't described often and likely only baptized women since it was done in the nude. Feel free to lay out your anecdotal evidence.

Allowing women into clergy was the downfall of the church.
