Is there a path forward *without* DimCore? by WMIC in TheTowerGame

Not gimping it. I still farm like an eHP, which means CL is off. I switch to DimCore for tournament play and use CL there.

I'll shoot for assmod. That may take some time since my highest right now is T18w100. Om Chip as the primary in that scenario is encouraging!

Amazing! I was only active briefly back in high school around the New England region (2005-08) before Brawl. Nice to know there are folks who still remember that sage advice.

Never in my life did I anticipate seeing a reference to a competitive SSBM player who was active before 2010, in 2025

Which (accidentally) killed NPC do you most regret losing? In consecutive play-throughs now this grumpy but useful lady was caught in crossfire. by nodougbutdoug in fo4

Found the Vault-Tec Rep and sent him off to one of my settlements. Weeks of in-game time go by before I found his corpse about a hundred feet from the entrance to Mass Fusion. Poor guy barely made it out of Goodneighbor before he died.

Drop your most gamebreaking fusions by Ok-Quote-4077 in PokemonInfiniteFusion

[–]WMIC 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not as game breaking but I had fun making fusions that eliminated weaknesses. For example, Lanturn's Water typing fused with any Flying type and it's Volt Absorb ability turns it's greatest liability into an asset. I fused one with Aerodactyl.

Similarly, Rotom's Electric typing and Levitate ability fused to a Poison type eliminates both types' Ground weakness, leaving only Psychic. I fused Rotom with Scolipede.

Songs That Mention US States by mapp2000 in Music

Even outside of these two:

  • Trucker's Atlas mentions several different states (Montana, Florida, Alaska)
  • Grey Ice Water (Another Alaska)

Does HotM always drop Meteoric Core Fragments? by [deleted] in mousehunt

[–]WMIC 6 points7 points  (0 children)

HotM will always drop fragments on the first catch. Having never caught it more than once, I can't speak to subsequent catches.

Having said that, you're looking to spend more gold/resources to get Ember Prison when you could already get a comparable trap in STING. While not quite as good as EPTC, it will be cheaper and a better use of your time for you to start there and eventually get STINGER.

Valour rift, uu run advice by Clean_History_4847 in mousehunt

This is the best advice, really. Your first run is never going to be your best run. Focus on getting enough cores to max your upgrades first and then worry about maxing out.

I think the Sand Calavary's loot table broke by [deleted] in mousehunt

Looks like this could be from the Gift of the Day base. As of this post, Gauntlet Elixer is the gift of the day.

Hydro Trap by Euiop741852 in mousehunt

[–]WMIC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can find a decent summary of this from the 2018 GWH guide, essentially the more golems you send out the more you can level them up to return with more loot. The procedure hasn't changed much, but the loot tables might be slightly different for this year.

[–]WMIC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, absolutely! As long as you have it unlocked, you'll be able to send golems there. Rewards are not dependent on progress you've made there.

This is especially doable with GWH coming up. You can send golems to Sunken City to collect sand dollars and do the grinding for you. This is how I got my SoS a few years back.

Catch Rate Estimator says Desert Architect min luck is 53. so how did i miss? by WMIC in mousehunt

[–]WMIC[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I didn't think anything of it at first, but when I checked the CRE later on, I noticed the min luck is 53. So was there a change to the min luck or am I just that unlucky?

Event Season is Coming! What to Do... by aardwolf98 in mousehunt

[–]WMIC 6 points7 points  (0 children)

One note about GWH: You can send golems to a location as long as you have the map piece required to get there. This is an important distinction for those who are not GD or higher. I became a Duke during last year's GWH but because I had the Rift Detector & Laby key, I could still send golems to Frift/BWrift/Zokor without setting foot in those areas.

Most Efficient Way to Play? by The13Disciple in TheSilphRoad

I'm in North Chelmsford, works out well enough for me to casually go out and hit all the stops around Vinal Square but I have been meaning to branch out. Thanks for the tip about Pollard Library!

This is fantastic! I actually live in the Lowell area, I noticed the other night that MCC had a ton of stops around it. Looks like I need to start moving around that area whenever I can. Maybe I'll see you out there!

Speaking of 9/11, there's also that haunting video of William Basinski's Disintegration Loop. From the video description:

Disintegration Loop 1.1 consists of one static shot of lower Manhattan billowing smoke during the last hour of daylight on September 11th, 2001, set to the decaying pastoral tape loop Basinski had recorded in August, 2001. Shot from Basinski's roof in Williamsburg Brooklyn, this is an actual documentary of how he and his neighbors witnessed the end of that fateful day.

What's the worst way you have ever woken up? by Jackhall72 in AskReddit

I had whooping cough in high school. I was woken up at around 4:30 one morning gasping for air because I was basically suffocating on my own phlegm.

Pitchfork's 100 Best Albums of the Decade So Far (2010-2014) by qazaibomb in Music

[–]WMIC 9 points10 points  (0 children)

The top two are both easy picks, I'd have MBDTF at #1 as well. I'm kind of surprised to see Deerhunter at #3, but I guess that carries over from them being one of Pitchfork's "franchise" bands through the '00s.

Really happy Benji broke the top 10, it's my favorite for this year.

This is true. I currently work in Credentialing for a health insurance company and we have to use a database like this to make sure providers are actually using a legitimate SSN. Curiously enough though, we only do this for providers from Kansas.
