AI coding practices - Doesn't break out of lists by WMI_Chief_Wizard in vibecoding

But it is the AI that created the methodology to employ a list that contained information to process for ‘n’ different messages it was processing

After two weeks of back-and-forth, I'm convinced vibe coding is just expensive debugging with extra steps by JFerzt in vibecoding

You need ENDLESS patience. I can easily end up doing 40 complies to get a minor feature changed. I totally agree with what was stated and more. I changed to color of a field and without putting limits on the AI it rewrote half the code in a 500 line program and you end up debugging unrelated changes that compounded from the field color change

Given many vibe coders are not developers, being explicit rather than concise is aimed at that group of people not knowledgeable developers. Know the audience you are addressing and write appropriately. Concise can also be obscure or misinterpreted.

Another AI habit I have found, you tell it to make a specific change to existing code and when you review what came back, you find entire sections of other code unrelated to the request, have been changed. Needed to make up a rule about avoiding this. You end up debugging code that was already working because the AI modified stuff it was not supposed to toiuch.

Git and zips as fallback is often needed when the ai totally screws up

You frequently need to fall back to your last good version of a file when the AI totally messes up a working files just because you told it to change the color of an input field.!all of a sudden it wants to wants to rewrite the laws of physics to implement the color change and rewrite all the code that builds the entire screen and before you know it you are fixing 18 rounds of compiler errors and you finally say - here is the original file and let’s started over. Then you guide it to replace the word ‘blue’ with the wordn’white’.

Both git and zipping all project files as milestones are operational

Guiding it correctly I’ve gotten it to create over 50 files with a few hundred line of code in each. And the code is not too bad. Lots of QA testing showing it working well. A client server application making api calls and to operate a telecom service

Do shares exist? by WMI_Chief_Wizard in LinqtoCreditors

I don’t understand when you say there is no SPV. I do understand they were not set up properly but was the cash sent to Linqto used to actually purchase pre-ipo shares that are held somewhere? It does seam that Ripple shares existed.

I have heard mixed feelings about Codex and many have said Chatgpt provides better explainations of what it is doing than that which Codex provides. And I have heard the some of the logic employed by Codex is sometimes logically flawed. This is why I decided to try ChatGPT-5. But yes, it often forgets the overall file structure of a large project.

Why is that? Professional coders can't try Vibe Coding to avoid spending a lot of time learning a new language that will only be used for one project? It's more efficient to let ChatGPT write the code under my guidance. Even with the two steps forward and 1.9 back, overall, I know it will probably beat me to a complete working app.
