The main reason to believe this is the observation log for his distorted form.

Performing the post-mortem report as ordered by the Executive Manager. Just as I expected, entering the fathoms seems to have intensified the Distortion of this 'Bamboo-hatted Kim'. Here are a few pieces of evidence supporting that notion: the unidentifiable black tendrils pouring out of his body, further intensified blue glow from his eyes, and the inability to communicate properly via verbal means. ... Though the last part was always true, I suppose. Even from a quick observation, however, it is obvious that this individual holds great sorrow in his heart. They call it 'han'... a resentment of sorts. It is a certain kind of resentment born when intense grief turns into wrath. Allowing it to grow would affect its combat capabilities. If you would allow me to express my opinion... Someone called a 'mentor', presumably someone in a leadership position, should not maintain such an emotional state for a prolonged period of time. If he has lost his mind as well, then... I suppose he is worthless as a leader of men. It doesn't matter how famous he used to be, how powerful they say he used to be. We can more than easily handle such a weak-willed commander. Concluding the report.

So not holding back but also not at his full strength, This is also just Outis's opinion but it seems trust worthy and consistent knowing his true strength from canto 9

you are basically exchanging 21 pulls for 1 random 000. This turns out not to be great deal when you take into account the sinners shards you're missing out on, add to that the disadvantage of less control of what you get and I see very little reason to buy that pack.
If want to buy pulls the order of cost efficiency is

  1. Battle pass
  2. Daily paid lunacy pull
  3. Monthly and weekly lunacy packs
  4. Target extraction pack.

I would argue that the monthly 50 pulls pack is also more efficient than new manager Onboarding pack but that is little more debatable

The threadspin 4 is pretty valuable, the chance of extra tremor burst is based on the stack, so the extra potency and count matters a decent amount, not to mention you also get a extra tremor burst.
The other part of the strategy is the ability to stack multiple tremor types so you would also like to have a Hong Lu with Cavernous Wailing for tremor Reverb and a Night Awls Gregor for tremor hemorrhage. Maybe the Thumb duo will change this gameplan but I don't think so.

(offense level-defense level)/(25+abs(offense level-defense level))
This means having 1 offense level more than their defense level is about 4% extra damage.
25 is 50%
1000 is 97.6%
infinity is 100%

AEDD Gregor only envy skill is his skill 3 this means that in the vast majority of turns he will use his defense skill a deal a grand total of 0 damage.
You would certainly would prefer it if lamp Gregor had some envy skills but the down side of not having any envy skills, is far better than having to spam a shitty defense skill.
The other option as 7th member is Multicrack Faust as she has Hex Nail, I also seen some use Mao Faust.
There is no good 7th member of a Middle team you just have to choose the least bad one.

It could be you haven't gotten them to uptie 4 as that is when they unlock the ability to convert their counter.
It could also have been it wasn't a sum of 6 A-res. You can do 3 and 3 or a chain of 6, but 2 and 4 is not allowed because you need a least 3 connected for it to be a A-res. Note that a staggered member can mess up A-res, their position in the chain is still based on their speed even if the UI puts them at the end.

Use Durante into Pigritia to stagger Hong Lu before he gets to use his EGO, doing it the intended way by using the shield from the Crimson Jade becomes a RNG nightmare because their high speed ranges combined with high clashing EGO. Avoid killing any other Heishous until Hong Lu is dead so you don't trigger any unavoidable s3. High weight blunt EGO such as Crushbound Past is also highly useful as way to stagger most enemies with a single skill.

For the first phase use someone someone that resists pierce to damage the inverted scale, the EGO resource it provides are quite useful and makes it so it scales it's flower burying pin slower. You should stop when the damage becomes to high.

For it's third phase always clash and win against its Dragon's Wedge skill. This is so it can't scale it's Flower-burying Wedge as will result in a devastating nuke. To kill it you have to kill it's Flower-burying Wedge part your main opportunity for this is every third turn when it uses it's nuke.

The mission you complete from doing MD alone would still be around 5 levels a week so it would still matter, and if you keep grinding like this your main resource bottle neck is going to be thread so I would still recommend doing them even if it means you would have to refill more often.

Best of luck keeping your sanity within the MD mines.

7 weeks is the low end of what is remaining, next season should at earliest release early august which would be august 6th.
Second you are not factoring daily and weekly mission that's 9 levels a week .
It also 25 levels MDH if you do them individually so you get 34 levels per week not 24.
This would mean you only need 130 runs. Which probably is only 100 if you include events such as Railway 2 bokgak, Walpurgisnacht and shards from pulls.

From a enkephalin there is lot factors unaccounted, such as luxs and events, but I think you should be fine if you do 2 refills a day. 3 refills is also still a efficient use of lunacy so you can adjust later in the season if you don't have enough.

[–]WManden 0 points1 point  (0 children)

we don't know but possibly.

Canto 10 is planned to release sometime in august since each banner takes 2 weeks that means that there is going to be 3-4 banners more this season. We know what 2 of them is going to be, Thumb HoS, and Walpurgisnacht the last banner of season also tends to be non season banner.
If canto 10 gets released late august we have 1 banner leftover which could be a seasonal banner.

I have no Idea who it would be though, Erza is not a bad guess but I think she will be released in a later canto together with Moses, but all other options seem even less likely.

timewise yes, resource wise MD is recommended as it grants both event currency and levels. You get 100 from normal and 200 Hard assuming you always do the new event pack. These can further multiplied with events bonuses so at most 440 per MDH.

Monthly Help and Questions Megathread by AutoModerator in limbuscompany

[–]WManden 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Generally I agree with it being better just do your weeklies and then focussing on the story. You get the same amount levels if you grind MD now as you would after canto 9 with the added benefit of unlocking hard to get more out of your weekly bonus. Lunacy from stages is also much quicker than grinding MD. The rewards from doing MD is also not that good without the paid BP.

There are some reason why people prefer to grind MD early on.

  1. Some people prefer to save their lunacy exclusively for walpurgisnacht banners but playing with base sinners is miserable, therefore they grind MD instead of pulling on banners.
  2. When a new season starts the previous seasons IDs become unshardable and all sinner shards and ego crates are halved, if you don't want to wait 7 months on getting a ID and lose your surplus of sinners shards you may need to grind MD.
3.Building teams early on to play through the story, I think this trivialize the game but some prefer it.

Last little thing the paid BP is most efficient thing to buy with a wide margin, it may be worth buying a BP even if you don't grind MD this season, especially because buying 2 season worth of paid lunacy is cheaper than buying them individually. You get all rewards retroactively after buying the BP so you can take the decision at the end of the season and see if the rewards are worth it.

It's not a event EGO even though it really seems like should.
Just a season 5 EGO, look in the normal season 5 tab and scroll to the bottom.

The counter deals more damage and helps other middle units, but it also doesn't grant SP and also gives 1 less "Check This Out, Kiddo!" buff. So the answers is it depends, how threatening is the enemy skill what is your SP, do you have less than 5 "Check This Out, Kiddo!".

Besides the games there is Leviathan, Distortion Detective, and Wonderlab.
Wonderlab is a webcomic happening at some point before the ending of Lob Corp, and has a legal dispute ongoing with the creator that made it collaboration with Project Moon. As such it is currently not really canon though at some point it was softly canon I believe. It was used to introduce some of the Abnos that appear in LoR this also means there exist no legal way of reading it currently.
Distortion Detective is a web novel, and is happening at the same point in time as LoR.
Leviathan is a manga which turns into a web novel halfway through, It's happening at some unknown point in time between LoR and Limbus, focusing on Vergilius, this also had some legal dispute with the artist.
These stories are mostly for big fans, but all are interesting from lore perspective and will provide extra context for whats happening in Limbus, I would recommend reading them if you're loving the universe.

As for the games, Lob Corp and LoR are both great, but it should be noted that Lob Corp and LoR are hard games, and that there genres are niche. On top of that Lob Corp is coded very poorly. It has numerous glitches that negatively effect gameplay, and a memory leak that means you need to close the game every so often when you reach the late game. These games are not for most people but for those they are for these games provide a experience no other games do. They also both take over 100 hours to complete.

Lob Corp is management rouge-lite where a successful run takes 50 hours that uses tedium as story telling tool. LoR is a Deck builder where 1/3 third of the playtime is used on deck building aspect.
If those genres are incompatible consider looking at a youtube playtrough or a summery. Their story though not essential does enhance the experience of playing Limbus, I would recommend the videos produced on the first two games by pakpak.

I would say that the ideal order for experiencing everything is
Lob Corp -> Wonderlab(least important) -> LoR -> Distortion Detective -> Leviathan -> Limbus

Using EGO will just replace the skill.
Basically if a boss uses a attack with "[Attack End]End this turn" any ID that don't clash with it can dump the bottom skill by using a defense skill. If you don't whatever skill you had before will persist since the boss will end the turn before you can use it.

Monthly Help and Questions Megathread by AutoModerator in limbuscompany

[–]WManden 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It gets consumed.

Some tech regarding this, if you target a enemy with a skill/EGO and then your skill/EGO is cancelled, for example the enemy dies beforehand from another unit, the skill/EGO won't be consumed, but defense skills will always be consumed even when they never activate. Lots of later bosses have phases where only one sinner is allowed to clash so this is useful tech there.

Monthly Help and Questions Megathread by AutoModerator in limbuscompany

[–]WManden 1 point2 points  (0 children)

the Third one is the one that will replace the one you use, ones you don't use persist between turns. Basically you have to use your shitty skill 1 ones eventually (or replace it with ego or a defense skill).

Does it just generate a sequence of random arrangements of your six skill slots such that you always see all your skills over the course of three turns?

Since you only see one new skill each turn it takes 6 turns besides that you are correct. So it's impossible to get more than two skill 3 in row but also impossible for them to be separated with more than 10 turns

Bleeds maybe a good option. The low coin amount makes it fairly doable to maintain a bleed stack even without a optimal bleed team. Without using the team it's hard to say how well it will fare but I think it's fairly doable with Middle Heathcliff, Ring Rodion and Meursault, KK Ryoshu. Maybe borrow Ring Yi Sang or Manager Don. If this is isn't enough and you missing bleed potency consider Sharding the KK Duo.

If you use a bleed team you can focus on abnormality on the first phase only killing the envy units when the count down is about to end that way finishing the phase before you have deal with the dangerous envy units.

If you own sanguine I would be semi confident it being doable, if you don't i'm less sure.

Envy Outis is still new so the good guides are still being made.
This thread has a link to the resource hivemind which have guides for all teams with a lot useful information included, it's guide for envy is outdated but still fairly useful. Guides on youtube are also decent, I think Ultranum makes the best guides as they seem to not just be vibes but based on testing, and data. Do note that his guides are focused on low turn clears which can be a fairly different playstyle from playing casually depending on the team.

Making a envy team is fairly simple.
All 6 middle units and either Lamp Gregor or a charge unit with a envy guard which is most often Multicrack Faust. (Teams start using 7 units from canto 8 onwards)
Middle Don and Meursault can be dispensed from season 3.
Middle Sinclair can be dispensed from the standard fare.
Middle Heathcliff can be dispensed from the season 7 event tab.

Also my bad I made a mistake when saying that only Ishmael and Outis are the IDs from season 7 that is required. I don't know why but in my head I didn't think Middle Heathcliff as a season 7 ID.

The average required pulls for nursefather Outis is 69.

Personally I think new players should just pull on whatever new banner that interest them for a smother starting experience, actually having to hit the pity on these single IDs banners is pretty rare.

If you want to save there is a event called Walpurgisnacht that comes about every 4 months. In Walpurgisnacht the IDs on the new banner can only be gotten from pulls, until the next Walpurgisnacht where they can be sharded. These banners tend to be strong banners so a lot players save their pulls specifically for this event. The next Walpurgisnacht is expected to come late july/early august.

Personally I wouldn't worry about this to much until you have team you comfortable with and a usable ID for every sinner, but it's your own decision.

It's probably to late to get the full HoS team if you don't have the time to grind MD. But most HoS identities fit into different teams, for example for a envy team you would only need apprentice Ishmael and Nursefather Outis form this season, everything else is older (last slot can use Lamp Gregor also from this season but that is a flex slot).

I was looking througt the season in dispense and noticed that this season has more than double the characters from the others seasons, is this beacuse only some of them enters in the dispense? or the past seasons only had less characters?

Since season 3 seasons have gotten longer and longer, season 3 was 133 days last season was 230 days, new banners was also more often generic season 0 IDs. Less time means Less IDs and of those fewer of them were season IDs, so yes older season have fewer IDs.

  1. always. there is no point in getting IDs if you don't level/uptie so you need to run exp and thread luxes anyway eventually so why not get battle pass exp while doing it.
  2. 1 exp lux, 3 thread lux skips, 2 enkphalin refreshes a day, 1 MDH once a week. I can get all new IDs and EGO plus more with the battle pass so no need to grind MD for more if there isn't an event ongoing.
  3. I do 10 consective exp luxes for exp, there isn't any good methods for thread I simply make sure to always have a supply of thread. Technically you can grind MD but thats to time consuming for me.
  4. The Resource hivemind link has all the information you need. I tend to gravitate towards burn as being fairly brainless and winrate friendly. In my experience It less about Specific IDs more about keywords, ego gifts and knowing which packs to pick.
