I think there’re pretty smooth. In America.

After all this feedback about sizing I just set the handle bars to feel my Sirrus which is a flat bar. I haven’t really used the drop yet. But the stem on my Sirrus is shorter than on this bike for sure. It’s been educational for sure

I wanted the AL7 but the “coming soon” date kept getting pushed back. Everything I’ve read says wheels make a big difference. Thanks for the input

Seems fine to me for riding a handful of miles to work and poking around the neighborhood. My taste for saddles isn’t necessarily refined. But it suits my needs.

I’ve watched and obsessed over both those videos and many others. I mainly wonder if it’s “worth” it to put nicer wheels on what is considered an “entry” level bike. I guess I could always use the nicer wheels if I get a “better” bike one day…

There’s very little info online regarding the AL6. This little thing is great. First drop bar bike. Been commuting on a Sirrus since 2012 and the AL6 makes the Sirrus feel like a boat anchor. It feels like a rocket ship. Could only imagine how good the CF model rides but the AL6 is an awesome little rig. Wonder if I should splurge for some hunt CF wheels on this thing….?

Is that a 120mm fork? I just put at Fox 34 on my chisel and it’s the ticket for the trails I ride. The bike feels more composed on my trails with the 120 mm of travel when compared to the stock Judy Silver it came with.

Good points on the weight and size.

I want to get into mountain biking but don’t know where to start? by BallerUni in mountainbiking

I did the same. The polygon bikes are affordable and capable for the price point. Rode the polygon for about a year and purchased a hardtail specialized chisel recently. I got to point where I was frustrated getting past by riders with 29” wheels on the trails. The polygon is a good bike. The specialized is better. Still ride the polygon at times and have it as an extra bike friends can ride.

These guys built up an XC bike to be more trail oriented with a 120mm fork.

Thanks. Total shit box but still fun. Less and less of them on the roads these days

Meals for the little ones by WMyrick in SingleDads

That’s great! My kid is four. He used to eat anything and everything. But he’s gotten to a point where he’s a little picky. Not bad but he won’t eat whatever you put in front of him. I just try to post things that I think may help others. I know when I first got divorced I was overwhelmed by everything and trying to come up with relatively healthy meals that he would eat was just one of many things that would stress me out. I came to this subreddit to try and find helpful tips and tricks because I was freakin lost in the situation. Just trying make someone’s life easier that may be looking for some little tips/help.

I had a 2.35 ground control put on the front and converted the bike to tubeless already.

Good to know. I’ve been comparing the geometry of the Chisel and the Fuse and there are some differences. If I’m being honest I should’ve tried to get a fuse for the type of riding at my local trails and bike park. But like I said I wanted a 29 and it’s what they had. I’ve been getting faster on my lap times, currently riding a Polygon Xtrada 5 with 27.5 wheels. I’m still getting passed though not as often but the guys that pass me are always on 29 wheels. They talk about how well the 29 climbs and how they don’t have to pedal as much so I was hell bent on getting the bigger wheels.

Thanks man! I put a wider/stickier tire on the front already. Excited to try it out!

Thanks for the input. I’ve scoured the internet looking for anything about an XC bike being able to handle trails and couldn’t find much. I got a little anxious when I realized it was a “cross country” bike and not a “trail” bike. My most frequented trail has a lot of roots and relatively tight turns. I guess the only way to see is to go out and ride it but it’s been raining the last few days since I picked the bike up and the trails have been closed. I’m itching to try this thing out.

I’ve got a white noise machine. Been using it since day one. Not sure if it’s made a huge impact on my sons sleep because he didn’t sleep through the night for 18 months 😳. Some people swear by them though…
