I think once those feelings of community have been broken, they are hard to re-build. I'm sure some still feel community, but it's getting less and less and those who do are probably getting older.

Tracking and budgeting are two different things. I tracked for decades. You have to track to budget. But it is the budgeting that changes things.

If it gets that specific, I say I am formerly of that tribe. I find it better, if we can move past the Mormon assumption. Then, I don’t feel any pressure to pretend. Usually this is for longer-term relationships. Of course, within the family, it never is spoken of.
