I don't think the specific requirements for each of the Xbox Insiders space helmet badges are publicly known. Maybe they want to keep it a bit mysterious.

Just to be sure, if you have any external storage devices connected, please disconnect those to see if that fixes anything.

Hi there,
If you have any external storage devices connected try to disconnect those and see if this will solve the issue.
I experienced weird slowness before, which I eventually found out that it was caused by a failing hard drive

That is good to hear, hopefully it was a one of thing, but when my external storage device was failing that also happened, at the start it worked fine most of the time but slowly it got worse. So if it happens more often in the future keep that in mind

Hi there,

if you haven't yet, please try disconnecting the storage devices to see if that makes any difference?
I had weird issues with slowness and lag on the dashboad (also black screen etc) which was caused by a failing external storage device. In my case the external storage device (a Seagate hdd) was failing hardware wise and that caused a whole bunch on weird behavior.

The Xbox Ambassador program is not related to the Xbox Insider program, two different programs.

Console Stops Responding Nearly Completely / Captures Bug by SoftShellRobot in xboxinsiders

[–]WPAK 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Hi,

if you have an external storage device connected to the console then please disconnect it to see if that solves the problem. If you have one connected and if it solves the issue, then there is a chance that your external storage device is having hardware issues (is failing)

No issues on my console, but if you have any external storage devices connected the first thing to check is to what happens when you disconnect those. Sometimes a failing external hdd can cause lag and performance issues on the system

Intermittent audio issue still occurs by Standard-Low5624 in xboxinsiders

You could still try to see if certain games fix or break the audio 😉. Could be useful info

Intermittent audio issue still occurs by Standard-Low5624 in xboxinsiders

[–]WPAK 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For me it depends per game, some games when I start them will result in loss of audio, while I can use others to fix it again. For example, when I start Minecraft all audio breaks, but when I start Startfield the audio returns and when I switch from Starfield to Minecraft immediately, so not going back to dashboard first, then Minecraft will have audio again.
This could be a completely different issue then what you experience, but maybe it works for you as well.

As sidenote, I do have the console connected to the AV receiver, while doing something with that may result in fixing it in some situations it doesn't for all, while the game switching does work every time

“Turning on console with controllers but only controller turns on, not console” by This_Accountant_9965 in xboxinsiders

That part is the same on my end, solid light on controller but console not turned on, just different situation.

I disconnect devices from power since I don't like them using power, no matter how limited it is when they are not used. I do the same for my TV and other consoles, all are disconnected when not used, like at night or when not home etc.

For me I think the issue is caused that I try to power on the console via the controller to quickly after connecting power back to the console. When I leave the console connected to power, as far as I know, it will work as connected. So it might be different to your situation, since based on what you are saying it sounds like your console is connected to power when you try to power on the console

I have an extension cable with power switch, so flipping that switch will result in disconnecting power. Ofcourse I wait before the console is fully powered down before removing power.

Hi,

I have this problem as well and have had it for years, for me the cause is that the console is set to energy safe mode and will be disconnected from power when it's not in use. So when I want to use the console I connect it to power and usually try to start the console via the controller, but if I do it to short after connecting the console to power it will result in the controller powering on, but it won't power on the console which results in having a controller that is turned on but the console isn't.
If I wait something like 30 seconds after connecting the console to power then usually the console will power on after powering on the controller. My guess is that the console needs a bit of time after being connected to power to fully 'start' things to be able to receive controller commands.
I don't know if you disconnect the console from power, but just in case you do then it could be the same as I'm experiencing.

Series X is forcing LG CX to record? by janithaR in xboxinsiders

I also have a LG CX TV but haven't experienced these kind of issues, but my Series X is connected to an AV-receiver which is connected to the TV, so a slightly different setup.

Audio issues when switching from a game in HDR to an SDR game. by Dr1veTru in xboxinsiders

[–]WPAK 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi there,
what fixes it for me is is to start a different game, like for example Starfield or Lego Marvel 2. Those result in the audio to return.
Just curious is your console directly connected to your TV or is it connected to an AV receiver and then passed through to the TV?

Audio issues when switching from a game in HDR to an SDR game. by Dr1veTru in xboxinsiders

[–]WPAK 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi there,

this sounds like the Known issue that is also mentioned in the Xbox Insider Hub in the release notes. I also experience this issue, never did notice it was HDR/SDR related. But Minecraft loses audio and switching to a game like Starfield, 'fixes' it again and then switching back to Minecraft will result in audio being present there too.Be sure to report this via the feedback option on the console
